I honestly dont know much about the game.I seen some s.s and thought it would be a f2p and that kind of had me interested to try/play it. Then I found it isn’t and I kind off lost interest completely About it. Hopefully turns out good for them though like it isn’t a total flop. For me though just isn’t my type of thing I’d buy.but I’d try for free.

I’m sure the gunplay will be great, as is usual for Bungie shooters. But… I can’t say I have any interest in this at all. I don’t see the appeal of extraction shooters, and the visual style is a big turnoff for me. And if it weren’t for the name, I wouldn’t be able to connect it to Marathon at all.
Hopefully those who play this do enjoy it, but it’s a hard pass from me.

Looks gorgeous. Love the colors. Gunplay looks crispy. Just don’t see the appeal of an extraction shooter with limited story personally. I know some people are into them but unless it’s a PvE type game like hell divers I don’t really see the loop of play the game to get more stuff to play the game better as attractive. Feels like extraction shooters are niche to begin with so this will really have to blow people away to have any chance of success

I played an unholy amount of Destiny 2. This is absolutely serving up low poly cel shaded D2. The way people move the way the guns look the way the sights look. Hell even that little grate they break is just like ones in 1/2 the D2 missions. D2 was great but the engine was failing it I don’t get any impression they fixed anything here. This feels like a lipstick on a pig D2 mod.

I just wanna say that the production design and the design in general is fucking awesome. It really goes to show you how much of a difference it makes even for such mediocre looking gameplay.
And I think that’s the problem here they have so many new visual ideas, but none of that is translating into the gameplay . Why aren’t there guns that just make your jaw drop? Like some really inventive weapons like in Turok?
Maybe you hack another player and you get to control them for like 10 seconds and you shoot your teammate? Where is the new gameplay that feels next level?
There’s this cool like pixel digital aspect of it so why aren’t you able to dissolve into pixels and shift a little bit to your left or teleport? Just like next level locomotion or movement.
I can’t believe how underwhelmed I am by how the gameplay feels like everything we’ve seen before. Also, the movement seems very slow for how frantic the editing is

Oh well, it costs me nothing to keep my eyes on it, and odds are there’s going to be an open beta at some point so ill give it a try.

I’m more interested in how the TTK and Matchmaking will work. Solo/Duo/Trio queues = perfect. If there isnt a separation of groups and solos the game will face the same issues The Cycle Frontier suffered from, especially if the TTK is higher than normal.

The whole gameplay from speed, weapons and down to animations looks like a Destiny reskin. if it’s not free2play (rumors say it’s a $40 title) I would really worry if this can keep a healthy playerbase on the long run.
I really wish Bungie would go back to a story focused games but I guess the people that made the studio big are long gone anyways

Literally seems they made this to not have to do Destiny 3 because actual story, cinematics, etc are all expensive.
So add a different can of paint on Destiny, extraction shooter only, microtransactions and no need for proper story or cutscenes…done.
Super generic, nothing different than other extraction shooters, will have minimal playerbase a few months into launch.
