Appreciation Post: I’m genuinely excited to see all these different factions collide in Janus Towers—S.A.M., Richtofen & the ex-Requiem crew (plus Maya), and Panos with his Shadow Benefactor!
This game is going to have the Cold War effect where during its lifecycle we’re like “wow can the lore happen already” and then the final maps are just jam packed with it and people look back at it fondly
(Though I think in terms of hype map to map this game is better then Cold War. I’m way more into discovering the artifact, getting the amulet, claiming the artifact, etc then “we blew up endstation. We saved Sam. We launched the missiles into the ocean”)
If I had to guess how this would go, I think the artifact will get in the hands of Panos at some point. And then he will bestow it upon his benefactor. That or we stop Sam, and then Panos wakes up his benefactor and it leads into a DLC 5.
I cannot wait for the next map and I hope they keep the release schedule of every season. They seemingly have everything finished if they are releasing so frequently. We just need to see if we get a season long delay to milk it or not

Also I’m starting to love liberty falls as an all time zombies location
There’s three things I love in zombies. Prisons/purgatories, real life locations and when a new crew visits an old location. (When Primus stepped into Alcatraz, they had no idea what they were getting into BUT WE DID)
Liberty falls hits two of those. I’m so happy they went back to using real life locations, a real town is so cool. And then they have Requiem come into Liberty falls after we’ve already been there, so WE KNOW what went on in the town but they don’t
It obviously isn’t as cool as Alcatraz. But it’s a sick location in zombies history for sure

The crazy part is we still don’t know what has happened with Samantha, the Forsaken/Zykov, and even Ava Jansen.
Going by past Announcers suggest that Zykov still has some semblance of power and isn’t fully defeated yet. He could be the Shadow Benefactor still. But the fact we have no idea about Samantha is interesting. S.A.M. would know of course, and I imagine the final easter egg will deal with that.
But then we have Ava Jansen. Related to Sam, and I’m wondering if S.A.M needs Ava to find her. Could the Sentintel Artifact have pull her through time? (its just a theory but I have no idea how they’d bring Ava up again in lore without having another modern game).

Hear me out: all of them are at the top of the ~~Millenium~~ Janus towers, and then the crew steps out of a helicopter, and one of them says “Alright, everyone pick an ass to kick.”
As for names, Weaver says “Team Maxis” in a voiceline, but another Maxis is the last thing discussing this story needs. Saw one person suggest Maximus, maintaining the reference and meaning while reducing confusion?

SAM has no reason to be at Janus towers, she’s likely gone directly to the last map to begin the ritual to activate the Sentinel Artefact and get her physical form.
I expect Panos’ phasing ability may be critical in beating her though, and through the Janus towers map we are able to do the same, allowing us to trap SAM in the Dark Aether and bring Sam out just like Panos did to the response team in LF.
