I wonder if Pondsmith hold back Blackhand until he saw the outcome of CDPr game to prevent wasting a beloved character in a bad game or even if the presence of keanu reeves would obfuscate Morgan, again because he (Pondsmith) likes him so much and now that things went well hes willing to put Blackhand in the sequel.
I absolutely love that cyberpunk is his. He views it as his baby. His world. It’s looking at someone who views their creation as a proud parent. Like look at my child. God I love passionate nerds.
I could def see the edgerunners project cover Morgan blackhand, especially since Mike pondsmith recently dropped that bit of lore about him and how he escaped the tower. So an anime about him and the having him appear in Orion would make a ton of sense

I would be extremely shocked if Blackhand isn’t at the very least a somewhat important Character in Orion/Cyberpunk 2078/whatever the title ends up being, and at most the new Johnny-esque character. Not that he’s a program in our new character’s head but a legendary merc/personality of NC that our character works with either willingly or unwillingly to achieve whatever goal it is both are pursuing.
