I was so hoping that PhD had kept its old effect and it was just a typo in the augment screen. The amount of times I’ve died to an explosive, thinking I was immune…
Not only that, but it no longer negates fall damage. Instead that is a stamin up Augment

What? You aint getting explosive damage from phd?
ExpressionNo5062
Idk I skipped every cod after bo3 till* mw2 (the new) then i skipped mw3 and bought bo6 now, but phd back in bo2 was removing only damage or explosive damage you dealt to yourself not all explosive damage. I also ask myself what other explosive is able to damage you if not yours?
Crazybusta3
It’s ridiculous cuz you know they only did it because manglers would literally never be a problem if we negated their arm cannon shots. Whoever’s idea it was to make mangler shots do almost full damage and give them aimbot should never design another zombie type again.
Big_Albatross_3050
I wish PHD had a multi-nade augment like the custom PHD in BO3
TheWowPowBoy
Phd has always been self explosive damage. Remember Napalm Zombies in Shang? They still hurt you with phd
saketho
Hasn’t PHD always been for self inflicted damage?
Lotus2313
Never noticed because I never relied on PhD, usually its one of the last perks I buy if I even buy it, and even then it’s primarily for sliding around. I was never the type that sat around relying on PhD with a ray gun or Mustang and Sally to carry me through the game.
Guess skill issue on your parts if you’re blowing yourselves up, doesn’t take a PhD to know you shouldn’t cook a nade
Beneficial_Pickle420
Shiiiit I wish your explosions were part of it. I still get downed by my own ray gun shots or I waffle myself in veil all the time and I have all my perks set up for a narcissistic play style that only helps me in squad games with speed, health and damage. They say your explosions, but they really mean fool this is war, ain’t nothing helping you except that car to hide behind but don’t shoot it because that will get you too 😂🤣😂
Logical-Salamander79
PHD never cushioned damage from foreign explosions that I remember. It only served for the explosions that you generated on yourself.
And for those asking: yes, PHD still negates fall damage as long as they fall doing a dolphin dive; if you need immunity to permanent fall damage it’s on a stamin up boost
Zombies4EvaDude
To be fair even back in Bo1 days PHD didn’t make you immune to the Napalm Zombie in Shang.
TheShoobaLord
OG phd didn’t protect you from environmental damage, dumb post
