The same as 10 years ago: we want 128 tick servers. That quote by some dev that most players doesn`t meet the requirements is total bullshit. Look at the CS2 performance compared to CSGO, it completely moved away more casual players with humble setups like notebooks, etc. If they really cared about performance, the game wouldn’t be in the current state.
The problem is that valve is basically money printing with cs2 thanks to cases, giving them milions and milions every month but they still cant manage to give us 128tick servers, peoper anticheat or actual content and operation. Like wtf, how many people is working in this game, 3? Because it looks like it.
Cs was the only game that my friend group constantly played for 23+ years. Same guys, same game, 23 years.
Even when we had fights among each other, we made up by playing CS. Shit we became friends because of CS.
We NEVER stopped playing for a long time.
All of us completely quit about 8 months ago because of cheaters. And we have been through all of it.
During the CSGO era we have barely experienced any cheaters after Trust Factor came in. It was golden to just chill on supreme-global MM and play games. We had so much fun, and we all agreed that nothing can come close to the gaming experience that Counter-Strike offered. CS is like the water of PC gaming. It is basically essential.
A few months ago we saw that every single game had blatant rage hackers in them. I’m talking jumpshot nozoom scout HS aces type shit. Sometimes they toggle mid-game, sometimes our teammates toggle, but it was more or less a sure thing when we queued up.
And, I can not emphasize this enough, we are talking about this after TWENTY PLUS YEARS of playing together. NEVER has it been this bad.
And on top of that there are the little things, dying after taking cover and the half second delay after killing somebody, I don’t care that much about those but losing faith in what’s the golden standard of FPS gaming is a terrible thing.
How did we fall this far? Fix the damn cheater problem ffs.
the saddest thing for me is the lack of being open to the community. why wouldn’t they say “guys wait, we are working on something big and need time” if that’s the case. that means they probably aren’t.
Yeah, I don’t think anyone but Valve could argue against any of these suggestions. As long as we keep playing and keep buying shit, nothing will change though.

i played cs1.6 for over 5 years, I played cs:go for over 10 years, and now i stopped playing cs altogether. congratulations, cs2.
all because of the valorant dev valve hired.. fu valve, fu Gabe, fu.
casual players are being ignored, no community server support, anti cheat is really poor, in SEA, there is cheaters like every 3 games
even the stuff they are doing for the pro scene with vrs has its fair share of mixed reactions so far.

but redditors say the game is fine bro and you “just need to adapt” to the shit servers, poor netcode, cheaters, sloppy movement and ever dwindling performance and that they’ve “never seen a cheater in 200 games” and that “csgo was just as bad” and now these absolute no-namer n00bs like friberg and spunj (literally who? never heard of them, probably bad) are having the same complaints as the other long term players? these low lvl scrubs just need to adapt and git gud, smh.

hope these tweets draw some attention and make valve actually pull their socks up, develop cs2 to it’s highest potential and give us the game we all deserve. it may sound entitled but a quick reminder: we (the community) are the ones who’ve been propping the game(s) up for 25 years and enabling them to make billions a year off it. it’s literally the least they can do for us in return.
Unplayable in mm, 1/10 cheaters on my main and if i try playing with my friend on an alt, (cant queue with him elsewise), so far we had 6 cheaters in a row out of 11 games total. On an account that is years old and has knife/skins.
CS2 interns posing as devs should be kicked and valve should hire REAL DEVELOPERS.
Try casual. You’ll face obvious wallhacker in both teams all the time and people are either too dump to realize or just accepted their fate.
People nowadays won’t even vote them out of the lobby for no reason. This game went to pure insanity in less than a year. So sad to see…
They rushed the release when there was absolutely zero reason to, where exactly was the pressure coming from? Who asked for CS2? Was it a panic response to Valorant? I don’t even know.
There was nothing wrong with CSGO at the time of it’s closure, nothing. (edit; except for smokes, one-ways sucked).
They know damn well that if they hadn’t have closed GO and replaced it with CS2, no one would have switched over and they’d be in the same spot as 1.6 and Source.
Come to think of it; this feels exactly what happened between 1.6 and Source – except this time, you can’t go back to the better game.
Unfortunately it’s just time to move on. Unless you’re employed through CS or making money through content creation, there’s pretty much zero reason to play the game. Plenty of better games to spend time on, so off to greener fields we shall move.
Pros should boycott a Valve Major to truly be a good protest – would be amazing for them to stand up for you and me (the majority of regular players who have to suffer)
Anticheat is not an easy problem, should be tackled, and it probably is being worked on somewhere in valve, slowly.
What i don’t understand is why are they so hesitant on the 128 tick servers? They clearly have enough money, would be the easiest W they could score.
My biggest issue with the game is how it runs, I get 200fps yet it feels choppy and like im playing at 50fps. It genuinely irritates me more than anything else haha
Nobody at valve cares about CS2 because no one at valve has ever loaded up the game. They take community skins, AI generate a lame repetitive logo for the case, and then ship that shit as a “major” update. If that doesn’t tell you all you need to know, you’re lost.
It’s sad because the core of this game is still amazing, literally fps perfected, pls volvo 🙁

They gotta find something to combat the cheaters, because there are a lot of them. There’s zero reason to tryhard right now, since it’s infested with them. It’s just a for fun game until Valve finds a way.
I think when you dedicate your entire life to something you’ll see cracks that either don’t exist or artificially inflate them to be much bigger problems than they are. You see the same thing in photography communities.
CS is one of the longest running games where the formula remains nearly unchanged.
The only things I’ve ever heard about CS is that it’s on the brink of death, and yet measurably it’s never been healthier.

It’s a really weird situation where terminally shit players like me have a way better experience in matchmaking than the really good players.
Man CS2 feels so dead compared to GO even though the numbers imply otherwise.
I now understand what the 1.6 guys felt with source.
It might look better, but it feels sooo shit.
Same opinion since start, shaking screen, dogshit tick and cheaters in MM.. Lets add another 140 skins tho!!
All cs2 needed to be was CS:GO with updated graphics and the new smokes, but nah lets tinker with everything else that wasn’t needed.. Bunch of idiots
