I wonder if the code is predetermined as soon as you start the game, or if it’s decided once you do the fax machine step. Wondering if it’s possible to just try all the codes without doing any of the steps until you find the working one, or make a note of what’s top left on the chalkboard and then you’d know it’s one of those 4 possible codes (unless the board changes after you get the codeword, I’ve not checked).
