I mean not like their GPUs are immediately selling out…. They are in real trouble because no one wants their stuff! /s

Can confirm, with a 4090 there was no way to make gsync work with the new driver, and Alan wake reboot the computer as soon as I activate frame gen. Everything fine with 566.36

I’m sure it’s about as strong as a strongly worded letter from the UN to Russia

No issue with 3080

And yet people are still buying their crap. So why do they need to spend resources to fix it.

My 3060ti has funky FPS on the new driver. It bounces all over the place, like an area I should be getting 99-100 fps it goes from 120-80-100-90-115-80 etc literally within a second. Changed to the recommended older driver 566.63. No longer have any issues.

well if jesus says so.

Man screw DLSS and Frame Gen. It’s Native or Nothing. If you’re not building a GPU capable of running native better than the last gen, you’re no better than the e-waste that Apple keeps spitting out with their iPhones. I’m about ready to sit out the next several generations if all they’re going to focus on is fake frames.

I legitimately thought something was wrong with my graphics card with all of the issues I was having. Thank God I figured it out and just rolled back my drivers

for a few months I’ve had adobe programs like lightroom, after effects, and photoshop become essentially unusable when gsync is enabled. even with the “Studio” driver.

Imagine if Digital Foundry made a whole dedicated video about the driver issues and listed them for the world to hear. Not a clips video on some secondary clips channel next to no one is aware of. A full expose on the rather sudden drop in driver quality on the main channel where everyone will see.
In fact, tech reviewers across the board are really dropping the ball when they all aren’t screaming about these issues every day until it gets fixed.
And certainly every new GPU review should be discussing them at length.

My 1080 just got some fresh thermal paste and pads and runs 5C lower. No issues here. GTX for the win.

Roommate’s 4070 has been crashing playing wilds a bunch, and just now his whole PC black-screened after the crash. Changed from port 1 to port 2 of his GPU and the monitor worked again. Updated his drivers and had to switch BACK to port 1 to get it working, for some reason.

My got am trying to join Linux and won’t be able to see how much performance I will lose thanks to the new drivers. Good luck troubleshooting

Nvidia makes $1 billion per minute with AI chips so why would they care about gaming GPUs lol

The only issue I’ve seen so far with my 5080 is Cyberpunk 2077 crashes when Pathtracing is enabled and you take a photo in photo mode. I think Raytracing looks better so I turned it off and don’t really care. Everything else has been fine.

I wish Steve would mention the insane power consumption of some display configurations. 1x4k@144Hz G-sync + 2x4k@60Hz. 3060Ti draws 60-70W at idle, even in clean boot. Win11 24H2
