Found this Microcenter G717 pre build on FB market. I paid $1300 after some negotiation.
I was actually looking at this same PC when it was in stock at MC, but it was $1900 there and would come out to about $2500 after warranty and taxes. Then it went out of stock when the 50 series cards came out. The guy I bought it from actually paid that same $2500 for this one just under a year ago, he gave me a copy of the receipt so I could still use the 2 years of warranty left (which helped me feel great about buying it). He said he barely used it. A bit of dust, but has been a huge upgrade from my 3070 HP Omen laptop for sim racing which is what I mainly use it for.
Specs: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D – NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER – GDDR6X 32GB DDR5-5600 RAM – 2TB Solid State Drive – Microsoft Windows 11 Pro – 2.5GbE LAN WiFi 6E 802.11ax Bluetooth 5.3 – 240mm AIO Cooler
Considering everything I'm seeing about prices and shortages for new gpus, as well as tarrifs, is this a good future proof find?
The only downside as far as I can tell (besides a higher tier GPU) is that the RAM is 5600 instead of 6000.

Hello One_Ebb_9303, and thank you for your submission to Gaming PC! If you are new please check out our rules over at the wiki [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/gamingpc/wiki/rules)!
We have recently added the useful feature of Title Flair! You can set this manually by clicking Flair under your post once you have submitted your post, but if you missed it in the rules there is a much better way that will automatically flair your post!
To do this simply add what your post is about in brackets before your title. For example for a Build Log you can type [Build Log] before your post so that it looks like this; [Build Log]My new awesome build!, and the bot will automatically set your flair to Build Log! This works for Build Log, Build Showcase, News, Hardware News, Hardware Release, Discussion, and Miscellaneous!
Also remember that this is a place for discussing and sharing our love of Gaming Computers! This is NOT the place for help building or determining what parts you should buy, that is better suited for /r/buildapc. Troubleshooting questions should be directed to /r/techsupport. Thank you again!

It’s more than enough. If you don’t play 4k on ultra settings you will have this for 5 years easy
I had my top of the line for 8 years before upgrading and it still plays high settings with 150 frames in 2k
I’d say it’s a steal, very good deal.
My post was removed the first time I posted because I asked for upgrade recommendations, but someone had commented that I should have negotiated down to $1100. I tried briefly to talk him down to $1200 (he was asking for $1450). We settled on $1300
Bro I dead ass was like how tf this dude get my pc for a second 😂😂😂
Why would they route the pcie cables thru that slot and not the one under it lmao
Good deal I would say. Nice job 👍
That’s a steal. If you only play 1440 p you are good for some years. You are lucky to get it for that price plus warranty.
I just did the closest build I could to this on partspicker and it was $2,222. That definitely helped my internal justification
NICE steal bro, very NICE indeed 😉
The answer is yes. That is a good deal.
This is a very good deal. You can turn around in a few years or whenever really, and sell the gpu/ram if it’s really bothering you for an upgrade and it’s honestly easy usually. They usually sell fast then use the proceeds to get a new card and slide in and go. Ram can be nitpicky sometimes but checkout what works for your motherboard and you’ll be all set. The cpu could last you a decade if you really push it.
My question is what’s the brand and wattage of the psu. Just so you know what your limits are for the future in gpu choices yanno?
Good find tho!
Nice grab!
Jesus that’s a steal
$1300 is a steal man, thats an amazing price for this PC. There’s basically nothing you can’t do, unless you try like Unreal Engine 5 maxed graphics and stuff, but from what you say of your use of the pc, you’re set for a looong time. Great find!
Love the case. Where you get it
The cpu is multiple times faster than the one in the ps5 and pro. Gpu is also a good deal faster than either, and has a much better upscaler. This machine will age just fine, don’t worry about longevity. I’m sure you could use it for a decade if you wanted.
Thats a great deal .
I have almost the same specs
B650 eagle ax
7800x3d
6800xt merc ( ek block )
32 gb 6000mhz
1000watt psu
I bought the build new for 978 eu whitout the card
Paid 400 for the gpu and another 250 for the ek block whit pump fans rad ect .
This setup is really good for 1440p and even some 4k titles
Enjoy youre pc !
I finally found someone who got a better deal than I did in FB for almost the exact same build.
I got mine for $1400 and it’s a mini itx build with a 7800x3d and a 4070 Super, 32gb ddr5 @6000, and a 240mm aio
7800x3d doesn’t really care about RAM speeds to get FPS. Also you could follow a BuildZoid guide and maybe get it to 6000 anyway.
Correct me if im wrong, but you should be able to go from 5600mhz to 6000mhz in bios?
