I came across so many of this kind of keyboard on Amazon with direct power button, those are instant No for me, it’s easy troll button from your siblings and cats accidentally walk over 😑

Just disable the key. if you can’t, rip the keycap off.

Try to remap it to something else
“For keyboard mapping on Windows, you can utilize the Microsoft PowerToys Keyboard Manager, or explore third-party options like KeyTweak or SharpKeys, each offering unique features for remapping keys and shortcuts.”

Can’t you change what those buttons do in Power Options!?
Some laptops actually have power buttons like this. In fact, I owned an ASUS laptop (can’t remember the model) that had a power button exactly like any other key of the keyboard, it was annoying AF.

I had one of those once. I poped the key off to save my frustration.

Rip it out.

Don’t disable and break the power button. Just remap it to something useful.
This here is the most advanced kind of remapper and will work on specific keyboards and all keys.

But it takes a bit of time to install and configure.
Take the key cap off.
