I (naively) thought that Premier season 2 was a ray of hope, that valve finally were confident enough on vacnet 3.0 that they finally could wipe the slate clean and start a new season with new leaderboard, effective anticheat, but looks like its still dogshit. Why even decide to start s2 at this point even? Leaderboard is still “calibrating” (sure dude). Meanwhile devs are probably on their well-deserved annual Hawaii trip. But they have time to address and communicate issues with skins. The bug being easily fixable is NOT the problem, it’s that they acknowledge skins related issues but no word on game’s core issues. no “we’re working on it”, no nothing.
It’s tiring really.

Valve makes patch incentivizing playerbase to earn virtual coins for virtual rewards on THEIR ladder. The Valve ranking ladder is neglected. People who play the game knows and they don’t care.
For the talent/media in the scene saying it’s; “mainly a problem in the highest end of the ladder” I have one question – do you even play the game??
I am at around 20k rating (10k below Friberg and the pros) and now being back on the valve-ladder(since I stick around on faceit, but you have to play on Valve servers to get the coins for cases and newest rewards from their newest patch) having cheaters in every second game so far has made me quit the official servers again.
Don’t get me started on the cheating issue on Faceit with ESPs and the likes.

Anti cheat? Why would valve wasting time making a working anti cheat, legit player are not their customer anyway.

Valve have made it clear, they’re still firmly committed against root-level AC. Gaben himself talked about this on reddit years ago.
Unless a massive change in approach and leadership happens at Valve, this is the way it will remain. It’s a solved issue, go play 3rd party if you want good AC.

Can we plz ffs bring back overwatch. I know it was exploited in later CSGO era ( thanks to valve allowing millions of bot accounts though free to prime )
But a security exploit is just an inconvenience happens to every major companies. They just patch exploit and make it stronger so it wont happen again
Bring back overwatch with better security system. Choose your judges Carefully and let good quality judges handles the Cheater problem again..in CSGO around 2015-2019. Overwatch worked really well and literally contributed to half of CSGOs bans.

Why would they invest time and effort updating VAC when they make millions by gambling addicts opening cases?

hoping for the day where the playerbase finally realises that valve doesn’t care, and would rather milk the game for money by releasing big skin updates. they won’t update vac and the subtick system will continue to be dogshit

Valve removing ability to report enemy cheater for griefing makes it pretty much obvious that they actually support cheating in their game. Griefing report was actually the only report that would result in atleast timed ban. Wallhacking or Aimbot report is worthless. I have over 1000+ accounts in my list that were hard cheating and not even 10% of them are banned months/years after. Just pay 5e for cheats and you wont ever get banned. Just yesterday I met heavygod with other pros on MM and they said that premier is unplayable themself.

My mates and I pretty much stopped playing because of this. Even normal comp games are a 50:50 each time. It is just not fun to play the game outside of 3rd party services or rather unplayable. But everyone keeps buying keys and armour passes, so nothing to do for valve.

I hover at around 30000 currently, and unfortunately, I have to say that he is right.
I can have a day without obvious cheaters and then the next day have people aiming through walls and one tapping everyone on sight. Sadly, even when they are on your team, kicking too many players results in punishment.
Valve lost the appetite to work on this game, they are just milking the sad, hurt cow that is barely standing on its feet.

And if it is real, it’s just the exact same as previous VAC but has the ability to end games during the game.
Which happened to me once out of probably 50 cheaters at this point.

I’m quitting. I’m gonna sell my skins probably values at around $300 or so and move on with my life.
I only have a few hours a week to play a game. I want that time to be enjoyable. Instead I end up angry and annoyed. The last matches I had I just gave up entirely and installed other games. I’m truly done with CS. I been playing since CS1.3, and using things like PODBOT etc, enough is enough.
