Panam is awesome. I guess this is a common opinion based on a lot of players going the romance route with her.
I did my first playthrough as female V and went down the path with Judy. She's a cool character, but I didn't really jive with her as a romance option. Second playthrough with male V, this time with Panam, and I got a whole bunch of different feels this time 😂 I love Panam.
I hated those "I Really Want To Stay At Your House" missions with Judy, after doing them a couple of times I basically ignored them. Truthfully there's no difference to them with Panam, but I feel compelled to just keep doing them with her for some reason. The ol' cuddle and a shower, maybe a dance…breaks up all the destruction you wrought around Night City I guess, some down time. I suppose it's nicer with Panam because I like her.
I wish we had some better options for the romances, at least some different dialogue choices would be nice, maybe some more interactions. For a game that's so hyper sexualized, why can you only be intimate with your partner a single time? Doesn't make much sense when you can pick up a "doll" on the street to bang over and over again. When it comes to your romantic partner though? Nope. Very strange choice by CDPR.
Anyway, just wanted to say that Panam is flawless. 😂

I should also mention that I think the ending of the base game with Panam as a partner going with the Aldelcado’s I think I have to consider the canon ending, at least in my head. Not sure how everyone feels about this, but I enjoyed it from a gameplay perspective and it felt less depressing than other options.
I’m so bad with socializing, I didn’t realize there was a option to get romantic with any of the characters :). Same as in a real life
I just got the game recently, but I read that at some point, your SOs did not visit you. Perhaps they will add some mission specific dialog in the future, but it is disappoint that I cannot pet the cat in my apartment, and that I can’t tell panam at least something about the missions I’ve done. I know it’s extra voice lines, but it would add a lot to the immersion if I could trauma dump on panam after at least the “main quest” missions.
Agreed wholeheartedly. The game feels like it’s more based around Panam as a love interest than any others, plus I like her cadence. (due to nomads having pretty sophisticated vocabulary’s because of them actually reading books as opposed to the average NC citizen)
Their original plan included multiple romance options, but it’s clear that most of them had to be cut. If I remember correctly, Panam was initially a romance option only if your character was a Nomad — this was shown in an early trailer.
Now, this is just my speculation:
Judy was probably intended to be the romance option for the Street Kid path, while Meredith Stout or Blue Moon were meant for the Corpo route. Later on, Panam was reworked into the male heterosexual romance option, Judy became the lesbian romance, and Meredith/Blue were cut almost entirely, with Meredith left as just a minor sex scene.
Ive never played a game that doesn’t have canned romance, it’s always tacked on. I really like Panam tho, her personality, the way she acts around V. Its cute. But game romance is weird to me, it never really immerses me it’s so not real. Is like watching a movie.
I played it after finishing Witcher 3 and thought the same thing. I liked the game but the narrative relationships were way less engaging
Shame the Avocados storyline is boring as shit

I’m more team Judy, but the scene after you rescue Sol is one of my favourite scenes in the game.

Is it just me or does every single romance option in the game involve abandonment issues, mistrust, some form of PTSD, and a mentally unstable person who hates their life?
The relationships are fine. People except way too much from this type of stuff. It’s an action rpg not a dating simulator
I personally like River and didn’t bother romancing anybody else 😂
You could always mod the game and have a lot more romance options…
I choose depending on what kind of character I am RPing but Panam (and Kerry) is a big no from me form personnel taste standpoint. Great friend but exactly the opposite of what I would want in a relationship.
Judy and River are sweet hearts though.
