For those who are sick of these prices that are refusing to buy, can’t buy because of stock or can’t because it is beyond what they can afford.

Cheers to you, only way this will fix itself is by letting them sit on the shelves.

Every time someone buys at a ridiculous price whether from scalpers or crazy store price. The high price will continue.

So once again, cheers and continue being fabulous.

Just bought a 5070 but totally agree that most prices are crazy.

At least in my case I’m waiting to get a b580 at MSRP but that’s just really hard.

Are there any good AMD alternatives for ~250-350 dollars?

  3. TheHappyTaquitosDad

I refuse to buy one until they are msrp

  4. Flint-Von-Ceneac

I mean I bought a brand new 3080 hybrid gaming AIO 12GB whateverthefuck because it was time for an upgrade from my 1080. I feel like that still counts as me refusing to participate in the latest clusterfuck.

  5. Creative_Diver3492

I aint paying a single cent to a scalper or these greedy corporates.

  6. divergentchessboard

Im hanging on to my watercooled 2080Ti until it dies.

Still easily runs all the games I currently play or have any interest in playing, so I have no want or reason to upgrade. Only thing tempting me to upgrade is to run higher resolutions in VR, but I barely use my VR setup anymore.

And when it does die or I want to upgrade? Im just gonna buy a used 4080/5080 in like 5-6 years off ebay

  7. Laughing at the current situation with a 4090.

People were bitching about the 4090 AIBs going for nearly $2000 at release. In hindsight, that’s a steal in 2025.

  8. Mojicana

My GPU is great, does everything I need and then some.

  9. Prevelance2023

If anyone here is trying to get a high end graphic card, I followed a bunch of Twitter bot accs that alert you. Just have to be quick to buy, hope this helps.

  10. Responsible_Rub7631

Granted these prices are Canadian dollars but even still this sis so stupid

  11. Me: Someday the prices will go down.

    My 1080ti: lol idiot

  12. Phoenix800478944

Look at my specs, I really need one rn, id be happy with a GTX 980

  13. Juunlar

I snagged a 5080FE at msrp, upgraded from a 4080s bought at msrp and returned for full price. <3

  14. etownguy

I bought a 4080 laptop does that count?

  15. BarnabasShrexx

You better believe I’m rocking this 2080 super for another 3 years

  16. Kado_Omerta

I got my TUF 5080 OC with a Corsair RM1000x PSU (combo) and I’m glad I did. I paid $1,350 and $170 for the PSU. These tariffs are crazy $2k for 5080 now bruhh.

  17. mca1169

If there was any stock I would snag a Asus prime 5070 Ti since it’s the only decently priced 50 series GPU.

  18. berdhouse

The last GPU I bought was my 1080. I’m still driving an ’08 and would rather wait to upgrade that than my computer

  19. RealTeaToe

Thanks! I can’t afford one but really wish I had my spare back from my bro 😂

  20. Trungyaphets

That was why I just opted for a used 3080 ti instead. Where I live 5070s typically cost double the amount I got the 3080 ti for for essentially the same performance. What a generational uplift (or 2 lol)!

  21. FatPenguin42

My 3080 will last me until the next launch and maybe beyond that…

  22. judge_mercer

I held my nose and spent ~$1,300 on an RTX 5070 Ti just before Liberation Day. Wildly overpriced by any metric, but I have a feeling the amount I spent will look pretty good by the summer.

  23. REDbarPortfolio

These companies can die on this hill, I will rock my 2080ti and 3090 for many more years and not think twice. These prices buy motorcycles and cars, not gaming equipment.

  24. To top all this off *all* of the 5x series nvidia drivers are awful right now. Black screens, flicking, and software so bad sometimes you can’t even boot into windows.

No seriously, can’t use your computer until you boot into safe mode and run DDU and revert back to 566.36. If you’re using a 5x card though, you can’t, and if you get a black screen with the drivers, it’s a $1k paper weight until nvidia fixes it.

Don’t buy a 5x card and don’t buy scalped 4x cards on ebay right now.

  25. JointDamage

Went to a Micro Center for the first time today.

I saw that they had a B580 last week. Not so much by the time I got back from Mexico.

  26. Exact_Acanthaceae294

I wasn’t going to over pay for a new GPU, and I didn’t.

    Onix Lumi B580 for $269.

It will be fine until gpu’s become reasonable (which isn’t going to happen anytime soon).

  27. Prodigy_of_Bobo

And the hell with everyone else, right?

  28. ijustam93

I beat the system i traded my 2 and a half year old rx 6800 and a modded ps vita for a 6 month old rx 6900xt.

  29. Legitimate_Earth_

Been rocking my 4090 since 2023 it’s still a champ

  30. xTrailblazenx

Meh, happy with my day 1 RTX5080FE. My son got my EVGA 3080ti FTW3 Ultra. He didn’t have anything, so I got an upgrade, he got a system.

  31. Robborboy

Got a XFX 7700XT last year for $60 *under* MSRP.

I reckon the lil puppy is gonna be seeing years of use.

  32. AzuleStriker

saying congrats for being poor hits a bit harder than you think, but thanks.

  33. Ryedog87

My 7800XT runs just fine no need to spend hundreds for a minor update

  34. CookieTheEpic

At this point it seems I’m destined to hang on to this 3070 Ti until the end of days.

  35. Golden-Aye

My 3060 just need to hold on a little longer.
