NOTE: We’re running additional tests with a few console commands for further uncapping performance, but also will be trying some affinity options. Those will be published in a follow-up. This testing is accurate and representative to the performance when sticking to the in-game menu, but our viewers pointed-out a console command that will further boost performance of the very top-end CPUs on our charts (no impact to mid-range and below). We asked our community to vote on what to do. Learn more here! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChIs72whgZI9w6d6FhwGGHA/community?lb=UgkxKOSDFhPIxr22RFeN6tnXToCKTqRTJCu7

This benchmark looks at Counter-Strike 2 CPU performance. Our #counterstrike CPU benchmarks faced struggles with constant game updates (although that’s a good thing for the game itself), but one thing that remained consistent was high performance among AMD’s Ryzen X3D CPUs, including the Ryzen 7 5800X3D and Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPUs. We also found that, although Intel overall scaled OK, the 13900K specifically had ‘too much of a good thing’ with its E-cores. Disabling the E-cores dramatically improved frametime consistency, something that reflected in 1% and 0.1% lows.

  1. would love to see a New World Benchmark with the cpus especially in comparison with 13900k and the X3D CPUS from AMD.. youtube is lacking CPU Benchmarks with New World

  2. Wonder if I get similar benefits from turning off E-cores on my 12600k? Anyone here tried?
    Hopefully this is addressed soon…

  3. I have those stops in the game only on Windows 11. They eventually go away like the game is loading data into memory somewhere, usually when the blood splatter happens. Windows 10 I have not had any issues. Intel or Ryzen.

  4. why is Cache pronounced like Cash, the extra E makes the A sound like AY … Cayyyyyyyyyyyshhh, not Cashhhh. 32GB Caysh, not 32GB Cash

  5. @GamersNexus

I'm more curious to how you actually test this?

Is is the same test ran over again with directly same spots?

Is it a recorded demo you replay through the console to get EXACT same spots?

How do you do this, please let us know we can replicate this our self from your testings.

  6. I am super happy with getting the 5800x3d from a 3700x instead of upgrading to the next gen.

  7. Win10 LTSC 21h2 with a 12900k also results in terrible stutters. Setting the processor affinity for cs2.exe did not fix the issue, but disabling the e-cores in the bios did.

  8. Im forced to play on vulcan, it removes the high frame times (r5 3600&2080S). In deathmatch i had that in every 5 seconds but i rather play lower fps…

  9. There is an interesting test on CS2 done by "Digital Testings" between i7 14700k and 7800x3d. The 14700k shows ~100 fps higher than the AMD. Very conflicting results

  10. i5 11400F
    6700 XT
    32 GB DDR4-3200

    1280*1024
    low (except global shadows high)

    and "only" 160-170fps average
    ~100-110 on the lows…

    that's pretty shitty 🙁

i need a better CPU i guess, maybe an AM5…

  11. Is there an alternative to turning off the e-cores on my I9 13900KS? I mostly use it for development work and it’s a hazzle to change UEFI settings every time I want to go to/from gaming.

  12. I called the fact the the E cores will cause more problems than they are worth for the avg gamer most people won't even know that there 1%lows are trash LMFAO

  13. considering a lot of people play at 4:3 1280×960 you can only imagine how bad it iS for them like me lol had to put my old card baCK in just to play smdh and i have a freaking 13900ks 96GB OF DDR5 RAM 6800 AND A RADEON SAPHHIRE RX 7900XTX!

  14. can somebody explain why 7800x3d performs better then 7900x3d and 7950x3d? shouldn't it be the other way around? same 3d vcache but more cores and frequency contributing to more frames?

  15. in this test, do you guys have confirmed that the 7950x3d has been putting the CCD2 in parking mode while gaming? if not, please do that and redo the test please

  16. Makes no sense to test on high settings.. CS2 players who wants to see these benchmarks, they all play in competitive settngs (low settings). Big fail.

  17. You should unlock the frame rate limit. CSGO defaults to 400fps, which will limit the performance of CPUs like 7800x3d

  18. Is it still recommend to turn e cores off, or have there been updates in the past 10 months to mitigate the massive difference seen here? 8:25
