I was watching the BO4 zombies ending again and I realized something. Why the hell did Nikola Choose to give his friends one of the most painful deaths possible?
In the "Cutscene" we see the crew with blood coming out of their eyes, mouth, and other orifices, slaunched over, and clawing at their throat. It's obvious that they were in extreme pain before they died.
Nikola could have just as easily given them all a narcotic and then shot them in their sleep but instead chose to brutally murder them and guarantee they went through extreme torture before they died lol.

I honestly have no idea what the point of making Nikolai the leader even was lol. They treated it like a monumental moment in Blood of The Dead. I thought things would change and maybe he would be more open, but everything was basically the exact same as if Richthofen was still the leader.
Also it’s hilarious how Nikolai forced Samantha to shoot him, something she clearly didn’t want to do, that would also add onto her PTSD before she integrates into a new non zombie world without element 115 (that actually does have zombies and element 115)
Because the writers didn’t care anymore sadly
Whatever was planed with bloods ending was unfortunately no longer possible after being moved to Cold War halfway through
So instead Bo4 is a new storyline that blue balls you with a massive cliffhanger that will never be resolved
And a 10 year old storyline that had to rewrite its ending due to having barely any resources available
I don’t understand how so much went wrong with Bo4
The writers would probably say the kronium said he had to do it
Apart from that no other reason
Its a choice that gets the job done, how many could you kill individually before you atleast get second thoughts?
Unpopular opinion: Nikolai should not have been the chosen one
Is he stupid?
My question is what kinda of poison did he use? Was it Nova 6?
Nikolai was the only one who still had his soul so it would make sense for him to take charge, but there’s something deep down that he didn’t want to do this and didn’t ask for it.
Can we agree he and the rest of the crew deserved better regardless on the circumstances, especially how much they suffered throughout their journey.
To sum it up, the ending was foreshadowed from MotD. The ending was always going to be a “cycle continues” vs “cycle ends” storyline.
BO3 was meant to be the ending, but would reflect the cycle continuing.
BO4 took the cycle ending route, by including BotD, which involved events after Zetsubo, where the souls of everyone but Nikolai had been collected (bc Gorod Kovi had not happened yet), and he was the only one with a soul remaining who can carry out ending the cycle. The problem was, and similar to the plot of Deadpool and Wolverine, their universe would continue to exist until the primis/Ultimis ceases to exist. That was why Nikolai took everyone out, including himself
He was drunk. That guy was crazy.
BO3 is the true ending to the storyline. BO4 is an extra, unnecessary story that was half assed becus Activision is a greedy blood sucking company. The only amazing thing from that game is that video of the voice actors saying goodbye to the characters.
Writers gave up on the story, had to bail themselves out with this ending
