Man i love oscar and now after think about it , i wish we saw him more , like out of my 3 best FS npces he got the least time and love, he is imo the forgotten hero that started it all , freeing the chosen undead and starting this dark and glorious journey. Man i miss Dark souls like elden ring is great and everything but the DS series hold special place in my heart , the lesson it teach you that victory goes to those who persevere that you never give up on you goal and keep going forward , I'm a man who is struggling a bit with life and loneliness but when it goes bad i remember one of best statement in VG history : "don't you dare go hollow"

What did Oscar had to gain by helping the player?
It was originally planned that he would end up your rival, taking the side of whichever serpent you didn’t follow
Is it Oblivion?
One thing I always loved about Oscar is how he got there and a small part of what I love about Dark Souls. It’s easy to just run into him and not think about it but I liked that by being like wait how did you get here and who injured you and then when you realise, it’s like ahh that’s neat.
