TLDR; Nova 6 illusions that affect a playable character, possible ties into Zombies.
Possible idea here is that in the trailer it states Hussain somehow has possession of biochemical WMDs, which when exposed to this (probably our introduction to Nova 6 in this new universe) will cause visual and auditory illusions.
My guess is, you’re playing as likely Adler or Case who now has been exposed to this gas and has a similar memory altering effect like the MKUltra shit in Cold War.
This is, however, giving me heavy vibes into old school Black Ops territory where we were first introduced to Nova 6 on, you guessed it, Verdansk.
Just to note though, “Beware the 6” was a common phrase in zombies maps that had the Nova 6 crawlers as well as been used in marketing for BO6.
When Verdansk returns, I’m assuming there will be ties to Nova 6 again one way or another.
UPDATE: I may be wrong as in another shot within the same video, there are remnants of maybe a wheelchair that would be Woods’. Woods could be exposed to this new gas, and would kinda explain the zombie-esque hallucinations – after all this man fought zombies in the old story and this new one, *canonically*.
I’d love it if in bops6 for the one map with a tentacle monster if the monster was like this and then turns after we pluck the badge from it, it ques the creature in the map’s waters.
