You could always play silent hill 2 on the pc.
Emulation, and you can enhance the resolution to 4K (or 16K)

Original SH is abandoneware for a loooong time. Check myabandoneware, there is legit download link with fully patched and functional game. I had 0 problems on modern systems.

Thing is, this is NOT the game that has been lauded for 23 years.
This is a different experience, thankfully remakes are not really meant to replace the originals.
You still have a great classic game to play, Silent Hill 2 (2001).
The original was released on PC in 2002 dude.
Me and my mate used to skive off school to play Silent Hill when it first came out.
I never got round to playing 2&3 until I was in my mid-20s.
Will definitely be purchasing this.
SH2 Has been on PC since I remember, via emulation or the port made… Some people play the port and then mod it to be more close to the console release so I don’t get what you say by “30+ and finally able to play this game” hahaha
Without reading any of the comments for possible spoilers (cause I’m not finished with it yet. I’ve played the original though) I’m enjoying the hell out of it! Bloober did a great job with this remake. My one criticism so far is that the enemies are too ninja-like sometimes for monsters that are supposed to be mindless zombie-like ones. Melee fighting a nurse is surprisingly challenging. Like, it feels like I’m fighting a trained soldier. And they take so many hits! I think that’s my only real criticism so far.
Well you can grab a copy of the old one off archive and then install the EE mod and the original runs pretty well
I’m glad you’re enjoying this game, but keep in mind this is Silent Hill 2 remake, not the original game. James doesn’t run around with shotguns one shotting monsters in the original game.
