On a serious note, I’m all for lab grown meat to become more commonplace. The cost, both financial and climate-wise, are no longer worth it to keep sticking with all of these real animals.

I know not everyone will share the sentiment, and I’m probably the minority, but I’m looking forward to it.

i really don’t get why people freak out about lab grown meat. beyond there being nothing inherently wrong with it, getting scared just because something is artificial is pretty stupid.

especially considering how much stuff in this world is artificial, most stuff humans enjoy isn’t natural at all

Get closer to that locust pepperoni pizza.

  4. Honestly if we can produce meat without ruining climate and constantly abusing animals, it sounds perfectly fine to me.

I can’t help imagining a dog with glasses that carefully sniffs that meat

Id surely eat lab grown meat before i ever touch a fucking plant based burger

After having seen Dominion 2018 I don’t think any sane person could see this as a worrying developement. Though wether it is ever economically viable idk.

I mean if it tastes the same and won’t give you super cancer or something I think this is a good thing.

SCOP, in the Cyberpunk universe, is an acronym for Single Celled Organic Protein. I’d be more worried if they start selling kibble.

I mean, they’re definitely safe. Cell cultures have to be produced in a sterile environment, and they’re literally *just cells* like in normal meat. Texture and cost are my only real concerns.

The only way forward is for this to get massive government approval and to become a cheaper alternative. Is this becomes a double the cost “organic” option no one will buy it.
