A bold claim right.
I'm almost 40 and I've been gaming since the days of the NES. Games for me have always been an escape. In years gone by it was from the Nomad lifestyle, and now it's to get away from that Corpo grind.
I laughed at this game on release to be honest and only gave it a go recently because of a free demo, and wow….
It doesn't necessarily do one thing perfectly but as a whole package this is the best game I have personally ever played. I like fleshed out worlds with plenty to do and explore for the escapism, and Night City perfectly delivers that.
I finished my first play through a month ago, I was a generally honourable Nomad and got what I hear is the good ending. Second playthrough now and I am being an absolute scumbag. But I love it.
Such a shame the initial release was so messy, but now, finally, what a game this is!

You’re not wrong. It’s my favorite game of all time and that’s saying something because for the longest time Zelda: A Link to the Past, and Final Fantasy 3 (US, as well as Knight of the Old Republic 2 have been my fluid top 3 for the majority of my life.
It’s pretty hard for me to choose one, but CP2077 is one of the few games that I wish that wouldn’t end, ever.
I agree choom, it’s truly a one-of-a-kind experience. Easily my favorite game ever even if it wasn’t perfect.
I’ve not played the game for 6 months or so, but I’ve been getting the itch to jump back in – not sure whether to start a fresh save or finish off all the side missions I hadn’t done.
I also know I should probably go for a Cyberdeck build, but I just love the fun you can have with the Sandevistan fun so much.
I can’t agree. It’s good, yes, but not the best I’ve played. That honor belongs to Red Dead Redemption 2.

Definitely in my top 3 circle. Some days it’s my number one tho.
