This isn't even counting the 5 years of university and other uses for it. It is an extension of my body the second I sit down to play games. It fits my hand better than my skin. The plastic has been worn down after so many years of use, there's no more grip on the sides. Won't be upgrading anytime soon

im amazed. every mouse i have ever owned the mouse left and right click buttons wear out.
Just last night I was telling my son about how, when I was his age, mice had little rubber balls inside of themβ¦
This is the exact mouse I just replaced, had it since my high school CS days. Incredible mouse.
I still have and use a Logitech G9x that I got in Feb 2012. No idea how it has held up for this long. It must have millions of clicks from any type of use case, MMOs and FPS games, games like Diablo etc.

Iβm working on 19 years with my Logitech Marathon. π€π€π€
That definitely has been up your arse at some point
I had a 10 year old razer Naga. One day my computer started randomly freezing. After replacing gpu, ram, hdd and almost a cpu and mobo. I decided to rest for the night. I plugged the Naga into my laptop and it froze the laptop. Bought a 20 dollar Walmart mouse, computer and laptop both worked. Just incase you get random crashes.
She needs a good cleaning, but outside of that it’s great to see I’m not the only one with a SteelSeries mouse standing the test of time (mine is 7 years old at this point with no issues).
its time to retire solider
I too have bag clips on my desk, so useful π
Had the same one last longer than that even I think. Still works but the scroll wheel is wonky now… Sad times…
6k hours is like Nine months or so i think. In ten years its pretty normal /played i think
Steelseries made out of steel π₯π₯
Good lord. Get some DIY grip tape online and replace that shit.
dont replace it man. i made the mistake once and replaced a mouse just becaue it didnt look good anymore and since then im having double clicks on any mouse way before any wear and tear can appear
I have this same mouse. I bought it from RadioShack when it went out of business.
My first proper gaming mice was Rival 100.
Went thru two of those, a Steelseries Sims mouse, a G304, Zowie ZA12, 3 G502s, Asus Keris, and now using a VXE R1.
Needless to say I’m jealous.
I still have a wireless 650. Had it for 6 years i think. Works like a charm still! Steelseries is quite a nice brand
And you still have the rubber plug thing at the end. That is the most impressive part
Nice if it was a razed mouse you would be on your 4 th one by now
Congratulations, your mouse is pregnant.
God put that mouse to rest please π
please… just let it die, retire it… that poor thing
r/mousereview gonna love this
Did you leave it a good review?
Congratulations! I assume you don’t play mobas or other high apm games? My mouse usually just gives up the right click after a while.
Love my og g502, have had it for 10 years and have tried replacing it with other mice as well as the new g502 model and keep going back to my first one
