    12th gen , since it’s not melting itself .

for gaming the I7 is more than enough. My new build is an I7 and 4080 super and its fantastic. Even under heavy gaming load i have only seen the cpu hit 44% once for a split second

Price will drop again in another 2 weeks the 15th gen is coming hang on another week and the 13900f will be 280 bucks

Running 2 rigs with 12700kf for gaming! Only time it is stressed is when I run cinebench.

The 12700KF is easily the better value. The 13900KF is not even close to being 134% faster which it would have to be to break even in perf/$, especially just in gaming where it’s more like 15-20% faster at best.

i have that i7 typing from it and it’s good value wise the i7 as it doesn’t kill itself and uses less power and like 2 times cheaper while not having 2 times worse perf

I had an i5 12600k and upgraded to an i9-13900k. It was not worth it. It runs way too hot, the power draw is absurd. I have an Arctic liquid freezer 2 360mm AIO, and it still gets hot/ noisy. There is also the whole 13th/14th gen disaster intel has with self destructing CPUs. I’d go with the 12700, or consider going AMD. Some games stutter when using e-cores so I just disable them anyways.

Neither go for AMD which will outperform at the same price multiple times over.

Nobody should be buying 13900KF’s right now

Holy, only 166? That’s quite tempting lmao
