There were many concepts for TranZit that famously were held back by the generation it released on. Some include the potential scrapped T.E.D.D. Easter egg, jet gun upgrade, and even nuketown supposedly. TranZit is my all time favorite and that might sound crazy but I really enjoy the memories and panic I’ve spent on this foggy old dog, while what could’ve been (or what may be to come) would undoubtedly be way better and potentially one of the best zombie experiences of all time, I still cherish what we got even if it was mostly shite. TranZit is love, is life

I remember the rumors that swirled about this “Bus Route B”…good times.

Tranzit had potential and I didn’t even hate what it actually became and I loved grief on the farm. It just makes me wish we got a dedicated zombies game because that shit was on fire back in the day. It makes me fucking sad at what it’s become. The vision was lost. I think if it wasn’t attached to a multiplayer war game it could have went in a great direction but I don’t live in that timeline. I live in a timeline where people want whatever shell of a side piece it has become

Tranzit was like how the star wars prequels are seen, flawed but heavily atmospheric. Great memories playing with friends after middle school.

Its pre alpha concept art, there is no route 2 in game which was the theory, which people spread as a whole possible Easter egg allowing for you to access another location.
As for if there was a plan most everything will never make it beyond speculation and what we know was tranzit expected to have more modes and that modes were cut but even that came from someone who wasn’t fully working with zombies at the time and iirc he even got which mode got cut wrong. The same pre alpha stuff this came from also had a town without lava and a race mode at crop field which kinda shows how early this was. I’d wager different areas and modes were developed separately and linking came after this point. A lot changes over the time of game development but I think the full vision would have been very similar but with additional modes.
Tranzit has the wildest theories that come out of nowhere and even the people that parrot stuff like ‘a plain tranzit was planned if you didn’t complete moon but was cut cause of limitations’ have no idea where it came from or come up with the weakest evidence.

Not too sure considering the locations here are the ones in the final map

i believe there were strings in the code labeled a bus route b. There’s also some evidence there would have been a day/night cycle in the map, as you can find in bus depot Bus Route A times during the day and Bus Route B times at night. All this got cut probably. The tranzit dev story is really interesting and they ultimately just had to cut down what was going to be a really ambitious map full of multiple game modes.
