I thought it was confirmed? There’s a modification you can get where you can see who has detected you. And if you replay the game with that thing, you see that Adam knows you’re there while the others don’t

yeah i do wonder why he leaves us there? does he know yorinobu’s about to use as to cover up him killing his dad? i guess he’s uncaring about protecting the arasakas and only really works for them because they keep putting him back together and building him new bodies.

I always thought “there’s no way he can’t see us” even during my 1st playthrough , I was like “this dude is supposed to have State-of-the-art tech” so i think its pretty safe to assume he has thermal vision or can detect people through walls

Yea if I can pick up Kiroshi’s that let me see people through walls up to 10 meters or whatever of a tattoo artist style doctor, I know this mother fucker could see my nipples erect from across town.

Why would he assume you there, you behind a video screen. I think they bascally posed him in the position, and folks are reading too much into it.

It was a bug/glitch and people thought it was legit. But in reality it was just an oversight on the devs part.

The real reason is far more trivial and has nothing to do with game lore: engine-wise bosses always play interest on main character. Since Smasher is a boss, he would look in your direction even if you were in Dogtown at the moment and he somehow spawned at Konpeki.
