Same here brother once was into Gaming Builds then hopped on to Hackintosh build (True Gaming and MacOS all in one Pc) then m1 launched and bought a Macbook m1 air … after marrige happened thinking of building a Home NAS server out of the pc used for hackintosh

I used to do this, then I found a cheap windows micro PC on eBay and just stuck Ubuntu on it. Sits on top of my NAS and is silent with a tiny footprint.

Most nas are like prebuild gaming pc’s. Very suboptimal. I design better seevers from scratch

I have had my HP microserver for nearly 10 years at this point. And although 99.9% of the time it just sits there doing nothing, it is honestly my second most appreciated system after my main PC. Set up for redundancy I have all my most important files there.
