Does this mean I won the silicon lottery? Can anyone else confirm?

I wouldn’t say that. The small delta between the average and the best score could indicate that not many people have the same setup as you. However, you now hold the top score congrats!

Depends, how competitive is your setup? You’re on an older CPU and I can’t see your GPU, so good chance not many people upload OC scores for your config. I have several first place scores on my setup, for example, because I have an i9-10850k and a 7900 XT which not that many people have.

Edit: clearly not paying attention and missed the GPU… Yeah it’s uncompetitive.

I checked. You’re #1 for sure. Out of like 4 people. And only 11 points higher than the #2 system. There isn’t enough information other than it’s a rarer hardware combination.

  4. there’s only 7 benchmark registered with the same setup and half of the are yours…. That doesn’t mean anything….

No. The best score for 6700xt is 2786.

I believe the CPU does not affect the score in Steel Nomad.

I’m number 1 on 9900k 4080s too but that does only mean few people ran benchmarks with that setup

I’d say probably not, there’s very few scores for that combination which is why the graph looks the way it does. I’d hazard a guess that it’s around average if this is overclocked based on how close it is to the average of the scores there are. As someone pointed out, there’s been 7 scores posted with half of them being yours. As a reference to how competitive some combinations are, there are over 70,000 scores for my hardware combination for TimeSpy (older hardware will be more common on TimeSpy instead as Steel Nomad came out this year). I’m sitting in the top 1% of scores and #63 on the leaderboard, but I’m still 500 points from making the top 100 of all scores. At the same time, I’m at #5 on Steel Nomad because so many people moved on to newer hardware but there’s still over 300 points between my score and #1… and almost 400 points between my score and #100, and there’s still over 1000 scores for my hardware combination
