It’s a beautiful paperweight. My old 7820x does a good job at that. You could also use it as a bookmark.

you could polish it and put it in a little display case on a shelf.

hold on to it for approximately 2 thousand years, then it might be worth about 10 bucks.

Hide it somewhere safe and maybe later when your house is being renovated, someone might just find an ancient processor
SupFlynn

I mean… that should be a pretty capable CPU just about any workload. Why don’t you get a used motherboard and build your own Server or something? It’s super fun to have your own little Server to play around with (or to actually deploy if you have a usecase for that).

idk, I have one of these too, got it because it was £5
problem is, LGA 3647 motherboards cost many hundreds and buying a barebones server also costs hundreds for what is a low speed Skylake based processor so any use for a chip like this is instantly dismissed because you can get something faster for cheaper.

I’m currently running a Lenovo SR650 with one of those in it…I could use another. I’d be willing to pay you shipping if you’re wanting to get rid of it. I use it as a hyperv for test bench purposes. DM me
