I love how Corpo V actually feels apart of NC..Corpo V knew about David Martinez & his crew but never bothered to look into them meanwhile other life paths have no clue who David was.

I’d say the others feel like a part of NC too, but honestly in the grand scheme David was just another Edgerunner who died fighting. Arasaka was actively keeping an eye on him though so it makes sense that there’s a chance Corpo V had heard of him. Maybe other streetkids should’ve heard rumors since I think they’re the ones who know the whole culture of getting your own drink at the Afterlife.

Nomad has no reason to know about him, and Streetkid was in Atlanta during the events of Edgerunners. I’m sure David was forgotten weeks to months after he flatlined, that’s NC baby

That’s cuz streetkid is in Atlanta and nomad isn’t in NC and corpo was in arasaka counterintelligence, besides David was basically a nobody anyways.

I just they had done more with that guy coming back after you that you met in the prolog.
Bringing him back was great and I wish there was more to his story line then just him reappearing and thinking bringing back my corpse would get him back into a suit wearing job .

Sad truth is that outside Arasaka and people directly in the merc scene David was a nobody. He was dusted under the rug as a cyberpsycho and was a decent middle league merc before he died

Yeah after playing all through life paths I completely agree on Corpo being the best it even ties into the similarities between David and V.

Honestly, I’m surprised Streetkid V didn’t hear about them. Sure, they were in Atlanta, but that was only from 2074-76, because they returned to Night City in 2076, and it was 2076 that Edgerunners takes place. So, I’m really surprised that the name didn’t pass their ears at any point.
The only one I can see *not* hearing about them would have been Nomad V.

because david was a chump flash in the pan. a dime a dozen in night city. all of cyberpunk 2077 takes place over the course of like a month. david’s rise and fall into irrelevance wasn’t much longer. especially because, as you saw or will see, whatever remained of his crew immediately and purposefully disappeared from public life.

On my second playthrough with corpo v currently and it’s definitely my favorite life path. Lotta cool dialogue.

That’s why David was special. He was a nobody who rose quickly and burnt out even quicker. Kinda like V. There are certain people who don’t know who they are. Even Panam tells you should get a reputation. Fixers know about you but not your average Joe. Same thing as David.
