People have been rightfully criticizing the modern day zombies are being too easy one of them being CW and the upcoming game BO6.

With the 14 hits “of of course they could change it to make it more difficult, but we see” 👍🏾

But I do feel like people forget that BO3 is an easy game if ur just using gobble gums and really speed running the Easter eggs.

I love BO3! 🥰 but it did took away the classic experience of zombies from (WAW-BO2) for the introduction of gobble gums.

I think after BO3 that each zombie modes made, zombies, much more easier to play.

I’m sure they will make BO6 a much harder game, but it might be hard to do it because of the Cold War system and gobble gums

I’m sure they will balance the GG something but then they might have the community not liking that lmao 😂

Edit: I know some people are going to have some defense of this game saying that “it’s not easy” but imo it definitely is, feel free to agree or disagree. 😁👍🏾

It’s objectively easier than than the older games yes. But if you don’t use gobblegums and aats it’s the same game. Although it’s easier it wasn’t made easier to get more players like you earlier insuated. The ees were way more complex than previous ones and the gobblegums were to help. When the game came out gooblegums weren’t nearly as op, the machine wasn’t free and it moved locations like the box. There’s a 3 hit system but the zombies hit faster. When the game came out many didn’t like it because it was more complex and it took time to adjust. The new games are made solely for the casual player base stripping all the challenge the old games had

It’s extremely easy in some ways with all the tools, extremely so such as the AAT. But has alot of jank difficulty in some maps . And the once the shield breaks the difficulty spikes the fuck up for 30 secs till you get one back. The non shield maps like the Giant are actually more difficult in some ways due to the combined jank .

Tbh for me every black ops zombies is relatively easy. I don’t think that there’s a point in comparing difficulty at all since most players just wanna chill anyway.

  4. Henry_Myth

When people play it the way you do, it absolutely is.

Lot of people mentioning the gobblegums and AATS but haven’t seen anyone mention the wall weapons, the guns in BO3 are way more viable than they were in BO1 and 2 inh opinion. In ZC Kino I can get ridiculously far with the KN-44 or the ICR-7 off the wall than I can in BO1 with the MP5 or MP40.

Yes. But i also think gorod krovi and zetsubou no shima is some the best maps we gotten for more veteran zombie players.

Shadows of evil was not the best first map for casual but it was fun and easy enough.

Then there was DE easy yet super fun both wonder weapons and boss fight.

Bo3 is the perfect example of how difficulty should be done. If you know the systems and how to play then yes it is “easy”. Zombies are hyper aggressive and not having jug past round 12 might as well be a death sentence for lower skill players. Gobblegums can help but you can still get caught in a bad situation and get punished. Cold war allowed me to carry 5 safety nets which made it almost impossible to die, and bo6 has the likes of duke Dennis reaching round 50 first try. Bo3 is certainly easier then the zombies before it, but it actually balanced it well unlike these new entries.

Not really when you’re going for high rounds with or without gobblegums, if you’re playing just for experience and fun with or without gobblegums then it depends on the map.

  9. ChummyBoy24

What’s some of the easiest maps? It’s been years since I’ve played zombies and kinda suck at see eisendrache

I’m probably at the minority, but because I play this game locally- meaning I don’t have access to the online gobblegums that utterly break the game (I don’t like paying monthly online membership on xbox). Local gobblegums are fine and thankfully don’t break the game.

  11. Map dependent. DE and rev are easy but Gorod can be one of the more difficult maps. Zetsubou is also lengthy and difficult in early game.

But bo3 still inherently had a progression system and had maps designed with tight corridors in mind as opposed to the open space maps we get in Cold War and seemingly in liberty falls/terminus

The survival aspect of the mode died in BO3 for me. I started liking the mode for different reasons (Easter eggs & ‘setting up’). You can like the mode for different reasons.

For example, when I play Origins on BO3, I go through the Easter Egg and end the game when it’s done (as opposed to trying to go for a high round after). When I pay Zetsubou and finish the EE, I camp in the elevator hallway until I get bored and end the game.

I also never use mega’s because they ruin core gameplay aspects of what I enjoy about the mode (point management, efficiently killing zombies, ammo management, etc.). It’s why I can’t (and won’t ever) like BO4 since that game changed these core aspects.

It’s also why I didn’t care for my OG favorite maps (Kino and Ascension) when Chronicles dropped: running in circles with no danger of going down and infinite damage AAT’s is boring to me.

Objectively miles easier than cw and bo6, but the easiest of the games before it

  14. wicket44

I think it’s easier but not easy. 2 hit down system was extremely difficult unless you were playing with friends.

If you include all the other stuff though like gobble gums, yeah no shit it’s easy but that’s why I don’t use those.

  15. Ducky935Alt

yes, getting round 100 is a long and boring grind, not a challenge.

  16. lChizzitl

Easy? Not really. You can say that the ZC maps are easy, which is fair, but those are the maps from WaW to BO2. BO3 maps themselves (excluding The Giant as that is just another WaW map) are very complicated and convoluted.

BO3 is the best as it has an offering for all types of players. You like simpler maps, ZC maps have you covered. You like the massive main quests in maps? Origins, SoE, ZNS, GK, etc. has you covered. You want community made maps that can have a range of difficulty, complexity, and fun? Steam Workshop.

BO3 itself though is not an easy game, which can appeal to some and not appeal to others. There is a reason why people like CW more than BO3 and vice versa.

    Regardless though, zombies is fun.

    No.

There’s this notion that people think gobble gums make you invincible for the whole game when you can only use the once a round (unless you have points)

And to properly gauge if a game is easy we can’t use strats, metas or skilled players

Every game is easy to experienced people, casuals won’t know about strats or Aat meta

The speedrunning point goes into the (every game is easy to experienced players) because pretty much only skilled people actually speedrun

I would say for casuals bo3 is a hard game even with gobbles gums because gobblegums arent OP and unless you’re kidding gobblegums and have unlimited they are NOT game breaking

Now let’s look at modern zombies (cold war and bo6)
We know black ops 6 is gonna be just as easy or even easier than Cold War because Duke Dennis: a guy that’s not a gamer and not a zombie player at all got to round 50 with NO downs (I think if I’m wrong someone correct me)

No one and I mean no one not even the skilled players got to round 50 on ANY of the older games their FIRST game and especially not bo3 so I would say bo3 is easier than bo2,bo1 but it is in no way a “easy game”

  18. StormyShelter999

BO3 to me is a little less challenging than WaW, BO1 and 2 but its definitely not as easy as BO4 and onwards I’d say its the middle ground of difficulty

  19. Assured_Observer

When it comes to Treyarch main games, each game has slowly been getting easier than the previous one.

WaW > BO1 > BO2 > BO3 > BO4 > CW And I’ll go ahead and say BO6 will be easier than CW. So if you look at it that way, BO3 is the middle point when it comes to difficulty.

Now in case anyone is asking why I’m classifying the games by difficulty like this, yeah maps make a difference but generally speaking.

WaW has fast running zombies, not so many good guns (with a few extremely good but rare ones like the PPSh or MG42) few perks, on solo Quick Revive doesn’t even work, only one map has PaP…

BO1 intruced better weapons, more perks (Mule Kick on every map) Quick Revive works solo…

BO2 brought a second PaP for attachments, Shields, Double Tap 2.0, fridge and bank system…

BO3 changed starting player health to 150 for 3 hit kill, drastically improved the guns, Overpowered AATs… Even without gums the game is still easier than before.

BO4 now became 4 hit kill but without the possibility of having Jugg, weapons got buffed again, choosing starting weapons (MOG and Strife are too good to be starting weapons imo)…

CW, well it’s CW there’s no need to explain why it’s easier + I’d be here all night mentioning every little thing.

    BO6, it’s CW but with gobblegums…

So yeah BO3 is the middle of the road here, so you could argue it’s the perfect difficulty.

  20. Appropriate-Sun3909

My highest round is on that game (it’s on Rev but still, I didn’t even do the best strategy)

  21. gamerjr21304

With gobblegums totally but without the game isn’t that much easier than say bo2 hell even the 3 hit down and 6 hit jug was added mostly as compensation for the zombies being super aggressive

  22. MarilynManson2003

    No.

It’s only easy when using Gobblegums, which I personally don’t use.

  23. suhFrosty

Imo if you know how the basics of zombies works and whatnot, then it’s easy. If you’ve never touched a zombies game prior, it’s hard-ish.
