overly high salaries and bonuses. maybe it’s normal but it shouldn’t be.

just a reminder that elon musk fired over 6000 employees from twitter and its still running…. you dont need all that dead weight taking up paychecks. i dont care if you love elon or absolutely hate him. facts is facts.

these game companies are bleeding money to lazy employees milking them both with bad idea’s and slow work ethic.

reminds me of cain on games youtube talking about working on a project where he wanted temp code to test features that would take 30 minutes and the employee argued that it would take 4 weeks to implement…. and then his manager ended up talking to timothy about the argument and tim asked him “how long would it take you” and manager was like “oh, lemme go talk to him” and then still came back with “2 weeks is the best we can do”…. for temp code that would take 30 minutes. and even then, full on code taking 2 weeks? 8 hours a day? insanity….

end of the day lazy employees milk businesses for a paycheck. “they dont pay me enough to work hard” mentality. “ill never move up, so why bust my ass” mentality. and its the business that suffers. its all great for anarchy until youre effected IE bad videos games and studios closing due to going broke. we need more musks to weed out bad employees from these companies.

just a reminder that diablo 4 had over 9000 credited employees on the game…. absolute insane. who remembers a time when games were low poly and made with teams of less than 20? magically games need 100’s if not 1000’s of employees? sounds to me gaming has gone the wrong direction.

EDIT: lmao downvoted for speaking truth. this is why reddit is lame. ya’ll can’t handle the truth. so you downvote it.

  3. The only way I’d care is if people’s taxes went into partially funding it, like some *other* recent flops (iykyk).

Otherwise, that’s a *meh* from me, boss.

  4. Woah there‘s no way it was THAT much right

Not surprised. Spider-Man 2 was $315M and it came out the way it did. Rushed. Pretty much just the first game with some new moves and areas. Awful story. Riddled with bugs and glitches. Wtf is these Sony studios doing with the money bro

No one told them to make a money grabbing hero shooter, generic as fuck, no offline rpg story ect, but they still made it.

The one in charge is to blame for misplacing funds and being out of touch with the gaming market, don’t hate the devs. They got paid for work.

I imagine with that kind of money, they’ll have to re release and repurpose those assets into a different, free2play game. Talk to some focus groups on what they’d actually want to play. (Though I’m aware the flaws in focus groups)

Why the hell would they invest so much into a brand new IP that hasn’t even proved itself yet???
