There’s nothing wrong with going for a budget oriented build for your first PC! The biggest benefit to that is as far as upgrades go you’ve got nowhere to go but up. Congratulations on the new PC, enjoy the experience of getting it put together.
A good build isn’t defined by the quality and speed, it’s defined by the use case of the PC. If this PC meets your budget and expectations, then it’s a great build. I build PCs for a living; it’s actually a lot more fun to spec and build a budget system, than it is to build a $7000 ‘money is no object’ build. Enjoy and have fun!
just curious why the rx6400 there are similarly priced better options with 8gb memory. ram is fairly well priced right now depending on your area you may have got 32gb for the price of 16gb. great looking first build. have fun with your new hobby.

I cant tell what your CPU is, but honestly with the RX6400 you probably wont be very happy as its the lowest end AMD card you can buy outside of OEM machines, performance-wise its a little above AMDs APUs like the 5600G or 5700G, but by so little I wouldve recommended going with the APU as a temporary solution and saving towards something like an RX6600.
But thats just my opinion.

I’m sorry, but the GPU choice is awful, you should’ve stayed with an iGPU and saved for a better GPU, or bought a used GPU or a console. RX 6400 is a waste of money imo, if you’re tight on budget you should be really thoughtful about how you spend it.
Budget builds are fine, they’re great even.
That said, I know this is your first build, but there are some very baffling parts choices here. SSD is unnecessarily high-tier, PSU is overspecc’ed but fine if you want to be future-resistant. I don’t know what your CPU is, but if it’s at least Zen 2, then its fine.
What’s egregious here is the GPU and motherboard pairing. An a520 board only supports pcie gen 3, this would be fine in itself, but the rx6400 only has 4 pcie lanes. Running it at pcie gen 3 will kneecap its already low performance. The rx 6400 has a very specific use case to be worth buying: in a low power, small form factor build, something I don’t think your build is (you have a 750w PSU, after all). I have that same GPU in one of my small builds, it’s great but makes no sense for a full-sized build.
