CODZombies is my favourite franchise and I’d say the lore is like my single biggest hyperfixation but like. I cannot lie to myself about it being so so poorly written, which is fine because it wasn’t meant to have a story so its fine to be messy

That’s kinda just how the Cod zombies lore works in general.
– We blew up the earth with 115 missiles and turned it into Mustafar. Actually no, the earth is just barely habitable enough that people can survive for several more years without any type of special gear and only occasional divine intervention.
– Oh looks like we’re getting an Origins story for the Ultimis characters. Actually no, this is all a ruse to tell you all that this was all a made up story told by some kids. Actually actually tho, we’re gonna pull a soft reboot where that Origina ending only kinda mattered and we’re gonna convolute the lore beyond comprehension for the sake of 3 good scenes.
– no need to get into BO4

Not just that, whoever wrote the dialogue for the characters in Cold War needs to be fired because who the hell talks like that? Not even exaggerating, they are the worst written dialogue I’ve ever heard in any medium, especially the dialogue in Mauer and Forsaken.
I couldn’t stop myself from laughing by how bad it was. It felt like the Morbius or Madame Web writers wrote for Cold War.
