But if you want you will have the best possible performance as of right now in 4K, so what’s your budget?

Buying a 4090 rn is wild. Its a premium product and new cards are a couple months away. Hopefully you got a good deal.
Basically like buying a ps4 pro at full price 2 months before the ps5 launches.

The title combined with the pic was epic! Thats me all the way! 🤣

This is the problem with the 7900 XTX and 4080 (Super). Most people willing to pay those prices would rather go for a 4090.

If you have a 1440p monitor you already have the 4k monitor.
Altruistic-Buyer103
That wasn’t smart considering the 50 series is coming out soon

Maan, I went with a 4080 and I kind of regret not going for the 4090..
Do I need it?
Hell no. But it would be sick to have

You made the right choice. And if you ever need to resell it. Will fetch a good resale.

Lol that’s me when I built my PC about a year ago.
Initially I was going for a 4070ti but then I got tempted to take a 4080 since I planned on playing on my 48″ TV at 4K.
Then I saw a really interesting deal on a 4090. By the time I decided to go for the 4090 the deal had ended, but I still wanted a 4090 after entertaining the idea for a few days so I ended up getting it without the deal.
I’m a weak-willed, but very happy gamer now.

Get 1440p, but in 32:9. If you have AAA or an edu email or an EPP account through work, you can get the 2024 refresh Samsung 49” G9 for $629.
BlindSquantch
lol I did something similarish two years ago.
I was looking at a 6750xt or 6800xt and wound up getting a 6950xt at launch because what’s an extra few hundred dollars lol

I grabbed an AW34 OLED earlier this year and it still blows me away. You can probably grab it on sale for around 600$, maybe even cheaper for the holidays. That’s if you’re into ultrawide 2k.
I actually got the monitor first then it made me want to upgrade my rig lol

Go big or go home. Awesome haul! Have fun bathing in the frames.

Get an ultra wide monitor and ascend. I would recommend getting a 21:9 first if you never used an ultra wide before. 21:9 is wider then 16:9 (duh) but it’s not so wide where it can be a bit jarring. Going from 16:9 to 21:9 you get to see so much more you honestly question how the hell you saw anything in games. Plus it’s also wide enough where split screen apps are actually usable. Some people jump straight to 32:9 and then don’t like it because they think it’s too big or hate that some games (like valorant) don’t support 32:9 and they have giant black bars. They don’t understand that on a 49″ monitor if they play a 16:9 game they are still playing at 27″ which is the same size monitor they were going to use anyway. Atleast on 21:9 the black bars are smaller and not as bothersome. Also watching movies on a 21:9 is perfect because movies are basically full screen. It’s kind of hard to explain “being able to see more” so I attached a picture. In games that support it you literally do. It can honestly be a huge advantage in multiplayer games. Like if your standing at the edge of an open doorway looking for an enemy before entering, on 16:9 you may only see a small portion of the door but on 21:9 or 32:9 you can easily see into the room no problem. Or if your running someone could be to your right but off your 16:9 and you would never see them. But on 21/32:9 you will see them. I’ve had people accuse me of hacking because “there’s no way I should of been able to see him” but I’m on a 32:9 he wasn’t even at the edge of my screen.
I would stick with 1440p and use nvidias upscaling. That way you can actually lower the resolution for fps games without it looking like crap. Or you get something like the LG ultra gear that can switch between 4k and 1440p mode.

If you have the room, 4k TV for single-player, 1440p monitor with high fps for multi, is the perfect combo
