I know it's a stupid question and one that i should already know the answer to since I've been playing codm for some years but I genuinely don't know the difference since I don't hear people talking about it much and I wanted to know what the difference is or possibly an example of both, if possible

also, credit goes to u/Routine-Display3362 for the build that he gave me for this gun

Passive slower build and playing style, and aggressive faster build and playing style

Passive from what I know is rotating and staying on the outskirts of the map but not camping. Where as aggro is when you take the fight to them and go full force in. Rushing in a way

Passive: slow & methodical, playing at distance, holding power positions, choke points and not engaging the enemy head on, unless necessary.

Aggressive: pushing, rushing & aggressively attacking enemies.

Passive is when you play carefully, you don’t really go into the most heated zones in the map hut target them a bit from afar whilst being in proper cover and you move from point a to b to c in that way whereas an aggressive style would be to push towards the enemies like in their spawn, fully rushing in taking risks and playing as aggressively as possible although I personally prefer playing passively more than aggressively since the best way to take down aggressively rushing teams is to play passively and letting them come to you if you’ve realized from the start that they are going to rush the daylights of out of you and your teammates aren’t really good either, so you play passively and then when the opportunity comes, you rush and push them and the fun part is that most aggressively rushing players can’t really handle being rushed either most of the times as they never really play passively or defensively in the first place.

as everyone has already told whats the difference, here’s how to build your guns for these playstyles,

high mobility, faster ads builds for aggro gameplay

bsa and range builds for passive gameplay
