Virtually no one *actually* cares. All Sony games going forward have a clear PSN requirement going forward. The numbers of sales this will cost Sony is negligible. The Helldivers 2 drama was just a bunch of people who really like to be angry. Righteous indignation feels good!
People stopped playing it because of AH incompetence not because of Sony scummy behavior

Sony has always been scummy. It is built into their DNA. The PS4 was a good console for sure and their games (while feeling samey at times) are extremely good.
However, remember that they were trying to sell a ps3 for an extreme price (just like they are doing with ps5 pro). They always had this in their DNA.
I am from a country that does not have coverage from any major console. Ninty and Xbox are fine with me choosing any region and just doing what I need to get games. Sony? oh no no no no, they want me to WAIT till they get coverage in my country because if I keep buying games from a different region while mine doesn’t even exist on their network, I can get banned.
Honestly, Arrowhead studios screwed themselves.
I was on their side at the beginning but it became this thing where they just seem to genuinely enjoy pissing off their player base. I played Helldivers up to Level 120. I genuinely was invested.
At a certain point I realized there wasn’t going to be a payoff for my patience. They genuinely enjoy making you miserable and denying you the weapon balances you keep begging for.
The only impressive thing about this guy is how he was able to game the shorts algorithm to such a degree that he went from unknown to well known in a short period of time. But other than that there’s nothing impressive about this dude whatsoever.
Not to mention but after I gave the dude a chance and did try to watch some of his stuff, I just realized what a fucking talentless tool he is. This dude is just another grifter in the gaming space and comes across as someone with even less insight into the gaming landscape than your average gamer.
Dude is incapable of seeing things from the average player’s perspective and not to mention how the dude is clearly driven by emotions, not logical thinking.
But then again, what can you expect from someone who worked at Blizzard, lmao

He talks bad business practices but still supports playing WoW after it’s early access debacle. but not against quitting Helldivers 2 because of the PSN account thing. Seems hypocritical to me.

He took such a hostile stance towards Stop Killing Games initiative that it eroded all of the goodwill he had built before. Not that he had built much though as it was just a perception and the perception was a byproduct of the new-found fame.
You can’t possibly be so outraged with what boils down to be anti-consumer practices when it’s Sony but be so against an initiative that fights it when it’s not Sony.
