I have an i5-7600k and asus b250-pro motherboard and would like to overclock my cpu by a bit as it usually is lagging behind my gpu in games. however when i change the ‘core ratio limit’ on the cores to 47 (from 42) it immediately changes back. this is my first time over clocking and help would be appreciated.

B250 boards don’t support CPU overclocking.
You might be able to pick up some performance tuning the ram tho
Check your local marketplace sites to see if someone’s selling a Z270 board for cheap. One of those would let you overclock the cpu
