I’d guess burn marks from a reflection, like a textured glass bottle, considering the marks follow what could be considered a sun line.

This might be a dumb question, but is there something reflective and multifaceted back there? Something like a mirrored mosaic art piece or some sort of frame with multiple small glass covers or something?
It looks to me like something (20 or so of them) has caught the sun and reflected it onto the monitor and over the course of the day, burned a trace into the screen. I’ve seen the exact same looking little wormy doodads on the screens of vr headsets that have been left in direct sunlight.

Days later, that person locked themselves in a closet and put like every single light in the house in that closet. They were muttering something about a dark lord stranded underwater and how their believers have started to creep from the depths with the main goal of stealing eyeballs so they can release their master into the mortal world.

I have one of these in my old LCD. At least it looks very similar. My assumption is some kind of insect liked the place and made it their habitat and that is some kind of secretion they left behind. It’s inside of the panel, so there’s not much I can do with that. But new spots never appeared.
