Hi! I'm trying my hand at a RAM OC, no dGPU so this is mainly to see if I can get a few more FPS in the silly old games I play. RAM is 2x Muskin MRX4U360GKKP16G, which has XMP settings of 3600 16-19-19-39 @ 1.4v. Thaiphoon can't identify it, but internet chatter suggests this might be single rank 16Gb CJR, crappy bin hence the 1.4v vs. 1.35v default.

I'm on Linux so I apologize if some of this isn't quite the way most ppl post here (eg., don't have Zentimings / AIDA). System is stable running y-cruncher (all tests) + GravityMark for CPU+GPU stress, GSAT.

ramspeed's rambw puts bandwidth at 52,075 MB/s, not sure how it compares to AIDA benchmark.

4200 MT/2100 isn't stable at current voltages, but from what I understand Cezanne can easily do VSOC 1.2V. Should I bump that up more (and/or RAM voltage?), loosen the primaries and try higher speeds? Or keep things as-is, and try to disable GDM? Does BGS matter (I see a lot of ppl w/ it disabled)?

PS: big props to everyone who posts here – I'd actually given up on OC for quite a while after being unable to get things stable beyond 3733MT/s, until I recently stumbled on two posts here clarifying that (1) Cezanne APUs VSOC can be set way higher than other 5xxx CPUs, and (2) vSOC LLC needs tweaking to prevent droop = the crashes I was seeing when an otherwise stable OC immediately failed on iGPU use (wish the DDR4 Memory Overclocking Guide discussed that, but I suspect us iGPU users are in the minority). You guys rock!

    You’re pretty much limited by what voltage you want to put into the vSOC (some people say 1.25, some say 1.4). I’ve personally ran 1.35 vSOC for a 5000mhz OC (see post).

    Speed will be your biggest gain, especially with the iGPU.
