It’s not even the cost per se, which is very high for a piece of plastic and a metal ring, it’s the chutzpah. It’s as if a car dealer tried to upsell you to the top of the line deluxe model but then tried to short change you on getting a free extra key for your luxury vehicle. Many people would walk away on principle.

Might be a dumb question but would the Disk drive being sold here be compatible for a regualr ps5 that is digital only? I got gifted a digital only ps5 that’s just collecting dust and if I can add this to it I’d by it for that.

I have always kept a Sony console, whatever Nintendo has going on, and a gaming PC. After acquiring my ASUS ROG Strix G18 with a RTX4080 in it, and then seeing how much better and amazing games like Helldivers 2, Cyberpunk 2077, and Hogwarts Legacy run on it, I can honestly say that with Sony going further in the direction of PC ports of their exclusives, that I no longer need the console. The console, Pro or whatever as it may be, will never hit the superfluous level of quality that the PC can… and after 35 years being a gamer, it is clear as day that the PC will always be superior as far as hardware and visuals go. I will not be going Pro in the PS5 generation. Add this to the lack of big next-gen titles everyone else brings up, and there truly is no reason for me to continue down the console route…
