its almost like choosing to stay with redundant versions was your own choice?

think about the programmers for once

  2. Does this really still happen to people? I get the 40 gig update but I havent had any of the other issues for decades now.

  3. I’m excited about any updates, even if I don’t see any changes

Ngl the last time this happened to me was in like… 2005? Well, the updates weren’t 40 gig then but you know.

What kind of propaganda is this? 😂😂

Just go offline and play real games that are not multiplayer or soulsshit

Simple, I play something else that isn’t 40GB download. I haven’t updated GPU drivers in years and I have windows update disabled. My PC is 13 years old and still games work fine

Why are so many people allergic to simply doing updates of the softwares and being up to date? I get waiting a bit for potential bug fixes but like, some people here seem to not want to update at all. And I am pretty sure many would complain if they didn’t receive updates at all…

I have opposite problem. I will update everything, get excited, get my setup just right, snacks and the whole day lined up together. Then game for 30 mins, switch games 4 times and then finally stop cause it just isn’t fun anymore.

  10. Finds Motivation to play videogames -> gets destroyed by some young kid 10x better -> goes to bed

If 10-15 minutes of updates is enough to get you to never again want to play games, i don’t know what to tell you. Literally any other hobby requires WAY more effort into prep for the activity and then driving there and back. Updates require you to literally do nothing. You can just go grab a snack while they are happening

As someone who plays on both consoles and PC, I may actually recommend picking up a console. Consoles are much more pickup and play friendly, they just kinda work, instead of having to deal with all the stuff. They do have updates don’t get me wrong but you can set them up to update themselves and stuff.

Feel this with emulation and abandonware.

    Feel it way too much.

  14. Updating… takes 2 minutes if you stop resisting it. Keep your Steam open and the game updates flow by themselves.

    Non-issue…

me the same everything I try to give star wars outlaws a second/third/fourth chance

  16. For me it is usually find tuning that takes time, especially for older games fixing widescreen fov, turning off motion blur if it bad, fine tuning takes time, not jumping directly into game

Psst psst. Hey old man mind you putting up a program for keeping the pc active when you are at work with auto updates ON through steam ?

İt will lower the chances especially if you have a proper internet to cope with that huge files. You can postpone updates by 5 weeks to update once a month too.

  18. S0k0n0mi

Why I stick to steam with everything else set to manual.
I’ll deal with an update on my own damn terms.

  19. Reasonable_Humor_862

You get depressed because you dont get to play games?

I cannot fathom people being unable to get computers working

  21. NeatYogurt9973

I only have the first problem (and sometimes the last one). I use arch btw

  22. RickJamesBoitch

Meme would hit harder if you said MSFS which takes 10 mins to load in SSD has an update every time and the update takes 15mins on fiber internet. I often lose interest by that point.

I had been thinking about buying Hogwarts Legacy. Then I saw it requires 85 GB storage (I only have 512 GB max😭)…
