I’m guessing some sort of bug where the hits aren’t registering after your shield got broken
I’m assuming crawler zombies can’t windmill like normal zombies and the timing between when the shield broke and you downing felt like enough to get the 4 hits in

Sometimes happens when the game thinks that zombies are under you. Not 100% sure but it’s the only reason for instakill that comes to my mind.
