Do you plan on doing anything with it? Than no… If you get 15 hours of use out of it, than sure.
ArLOgpro
It would be cool decoration if anything
Ridgeburner
As a piece of history for collection? Absolutely! As a useable piece of hardware? Absolutely NOT.
I’d probably still stick it into an old rig and mess around though 😛 Damn I miss those cool shroud designs.
dallasandcowboys
Is 15 buck worth it for a Radeon 5970, the Milli Vanilli edition? Girl, you know it’s true.
ReaverCelty
These old cards with 3d tiddies belong in a museum.
Sancto-NL
I used to run these in crossfire. Served me for years.
Poopdelight420
It’s a cool collectors item but it has some wear and tear.
ResponsibilityNoob

A blower card that is over 15 years old is e-waste
Efficient_Example541
If you buying it to play games It can’t run any new titles that’s s out of question but if you want it decoration that’s cool btw you can get a rx 580 8gb or even a gtx 1060 6gb for 16$~30$ from ebay
RLIwannaquit

saxovtsmike
As decoration
major_jazza

macgirthy
These gpus were the kings back in the day!
TxM_2404
If you’re a collector? Yes.
If you need a GPU for your PC? No.
super_starfox
Fifteen bucks, chill the hell out of it and OC until it dies.
MrAldersonElliot
I have 7970 and it’s unusable for 98% of games, even esports are not good anymore…
LD_weirdo
Not really, unless you just want it for the looks. And even then, it’s not in very good shape cosmetically. If you wan it for some cheap PC, it’s not a good option. It’s a high end card and will require a decent power supply to feed it, that blower cooler will sound like a jet engine if it even works after all these years and you can get more recent lower end cards that will beat this and have useable drivers for about the same price or less.
NetherGamingAccount
No it’s not.
I had one about 3 gpus ago.
It was a great card at the time but unless you want to play 10-15 year old games at low resolutions it’s not going to hold up in 2024.
