This is when you have a coax based internet connection.
Vodafone ziggo is probably the operator. If you don’t have a fiber connection, it may just be the fasted option available.

Did they tell you they had internet? Cause that sure does not look like a modem to me. More like a connection box for coax and others.

I find the username ironic 😂

Contact your ISP, they’ll tell you what to do.

If it’s a Coax cable, then you may need a modem that that has a coax input.
Blunt552
You’ll need a router that supports coax cable. This is essentially the last tech before fiber.
GoatInferno
You need a cable modem to connect to the “data” connector on that box. Ask your landlord or one of your neighbours which ISP the building is served by and talk to them to sign up and get a modem.

Yes this is a stupid question. Do you see an ethernet port? No. So how are you going to hook a router up to it?
Consistent_Research6
That looks like a ADSL cable thread on the DATA hole plug for coaxial cable to router. In ths case you need to call a ISP the provides ADSL internet and get a dedicated router from them in order to have internet and wifi, you need a data plan.

damn that’s close to the floor

Can you open it up? It looks like a weather proofing box with gaskets for feeding the cables through.

I showed this my grandpa and he said “wtf is this ww2 shit man”

It’s 2024, use wifi

that’s a Ziggo cable connection (an older type splitter is installed as there’s no longer a radio signal being served).
You’ll need a Ziggo subscription for internet and they’ll supply the cablemodem/router (you can put it in bridge and have your own router behind it if desired).

look like coaxial connections.
i don’t think you can use that for internet anymore.
