Way more quiet under load than expected, ofc after undervolting CPU and GPU. Temps are around 70-75°C while gaming.
PC usually sits under my TV in the living room for some ouch gaming but I can comfortably throw it in my backpack to visit friends or travel.

Do you have an option to go with a higher wattage PSU?
65W CPU, probably can pull about 75-80W total. The GPU is rated 75W but can probably pull up 90-100W under the right conditions. You don’t have much room at all left over for any transients, though that might not be the case, your PSU could be rated 250W for safety and handle higher transient spikes. But you only have about 75W of headroom left and that’s not calculating the rest of the hardware.
In all fairness, the 4060 isn’t considered the worst value in the 40 series, that goes to the 4060 ti.
Plus, that version is literally the fastest half height consumer gpu currently and gigabyte did a real good job designing the cooler (for once). 4060 lp gang!
“Worst” is completely fine. GPUs are the least future proof anyway.
The gpu is great, but the prices are the problematic one

Makes sense in that case. The 4060 is the most popular 4000 series card by a wide margin, so it’s clearly not a bad card in the majority of people’s eyes.

Cut open the Top so a 4080 can stick out half way or something?
Sure may not a Price to performance killer. But i dont know if you could get better perfromance in that form factor.

Would the 9700x have been a better fit? Much lower temps on that one.
I don’t think it’s necessarily bad. But the price to performance is. It can run any game, but maybe mot 1440p ultra, but 1080p high-max.
To be fair, it’s the worst mostly due to price. If it was cheap or reasonably priced, then that GPU is fine.
what kind of temps do you get on a thing like this?
If it was priced like what it is (a 4050 they want you to believe is a 4060) then there’d be no complaints.
Why do people even spend that much money on an 8gig card? Its a 4060 for goodness sake! Top another 40 odd quids in there and do yourself a favour!
