Loaded up an old save that had the arm equipped , and lo and behold its still on next gen for me, so why remove it when it could be toggled back then. Especially when it looks better next gen.
If I remember correctly, it was never intended to be in game. It’s appearance as an object was a glitch

Still why take something out that does nothing but be cosmetic

You can still equip it via console commands. It being visible in your inventory and able to equip it was unintended behavior.

Answer: Because it was literally a bug, you weren’t supposed to have that

Because you don’t want to be Johnny , you want to be yourself in the end. Being V. I don’t want to trade my mind and body for a overly self confident guy living off of lies.
Though it would’ve been cool to change the arm if you want to forfeit yourself anyway I gotta admit.

It’s a real shame you can’t just install and add on or use a console command. Sorry about your luck.

This post actually resurfaced my main issue with the game that I truly love. Available Cyberware is not deep and radical enough to be lore-friendly. V is the only choom around that can’t swap his body parts or even re-color his current mods. I do hope that we can mod our MC to full chrome in the sequel, along with proper Cyberpsychosis meter.

I mean, I think we should’ve looked like Johnny in first person a lot more often than the one time we did in the mirror.

I had no idea that this was a glitch!! I’ve had it since I came back to the game with 2.0 and PL and figured it was part of the relic turning my brain to mashed potatoes. It looks freaking sick though. Especially with the glitchy effect and when using mantis blades.

I knew this used to be a thing! I heard about being able to get it from the oil fields. So, through multiple play throughs and trying different dialog options I still could never find it. This is obviously why… 🙄
