
For anyone living under a rock, augments are the mode’s “newest way to enhance your shit”. Two different versions of an enhancement: Minor means a small buff while major is a big buff.
Thats the jist of the system.
But the problem is that I have no clue what they’re going to make some augments even be. Like, uh… the new melee perk. The only one I can think of for it would make it where zombies are affected by the knockback of punched zombies, and that’s where it kind of runs dry. I feel like BO6 will have the same issue, where most upgrades end up just buffing a stat or something like that instead of some wacky crazy shit.
Because let’s be honest, 6 unique ideas for all of the perks, ammo types and field upgrades? That sounds like hell, especially if you can’t do stat upgrades. (Although they already do with one of the leaked augments for the energy mine just giving you an extra mine.)
That’s basically all. I’m hoping this system isn’t just a slop fest, but I’m not putting all faith into it.

We’ve actually seen some examples. For the melee perk, I remember one option being health back on melee hits, and another was hits reload your weapon
The only other one we’ve seen some for is the energy mine I believe, which had stuff like changing the mine to orbiting balls and another makes zombies attract towards it
There’s a lot they could do, just hope they execute it well
We’ve seen a couple different augments and it sounds like you don’t need to worry. The ones for energy mine for example are all very unique and change how the field upgrade entirely works
We did have some major Augments mentioned before I believe.
Jugg supposedly has Dying Wish as a major augment
PhD should have the slider effect from CW/BO4 as a major augment.
