Putting a 1000, 500, 250 usd prize pool for a monthly top mods on nexus mods officially sponsered by Bethesda will do more for the games longevity than whoever hundreds of thousands they throw at this game behind the scene with dlc or whatever creation club rover bullshit

Honestly, I don’t care what Starfield was supposed to be, it’s a fine game. Not a masterpiece by any means but I’m excited for the DLCs and whatever they do with it. It has a lot of potential.

Less than a year after release and the public has pretty much forgotten it. When was the last time a major Bethesda release had such little cultural relevance?
Skyrim, for all its many, **many** failings, was a cultural behemoth that helped define its decade, that’s how they could keep selling the same game over and over again with minor updates. Starfield doesn’t have the cultural capital to get away with that.

It needs a big update, flying, ship combat, space exploration etc to expand on what’s there plus a lot more
