Yes, in World at War shotguns will share the same ammo pool. Might be the case for other weapon types as well, not sure.
In some older cods some guns shared ammo, like in MW the mp5 and M9 Beretta share ammo since they’re both 9mm

shit. didnt know that one. never really had the shotguns long mainly hit the box till i got a mg42
