Cyberpunk, in my mind, is always “more-or-less worst case scenario capitalistic future” based on current society and technologies role within it.
Cyberpunk in the 70s looked a lot different than cyberpunk in the 90s which will look a lot different than modern day cyberpunk.
To guess what cyberpunk in the future looks like you’d have to guess what the future looks like then make wild depressing guesses about that future’s future.
