This might be the biggest gaming failure of all time.

  2. Superdogbiter1

whelp thats the way the cookie crumbles

  3. This is the biggest failure of all time, there is no way you can even compare another game’s failure to this given all the resources this game had.

  4. When the trailer that came out that got this game ridiculed first dropped, I said the seven players who bought this game could enjoy it for six months to a year.

I didn’t expect to eat crow because it shut down after a few weeks.

  5. They’ll probably bring it back as a free to play game, right?

  6. Well, that episode in the Amazon series is gonna feel really awkward lmao

This has to be the fastest server shutdown I’ve ever seen for a live service game. Goes to show how much of a failure the game was, damn.

I hope that the people who worked on this thrash fire can get new jobs soon (we know how this will go…).

    And Sony to get fucked.

Maybe Sony and other devs will take the right lessons from this and focus on making good games first instead of pushing out focus tested products solely to capitalize on trends and make money.

Ah who am I kidding, they never learn.

Funny how all Sony has to do is release Bloodborne on PC, but they just wont.

  9. That’s wild, but it makes a lot of sense.

Take it off online, rework it, make it free-to-play, and maybe it can be salvaged.

To completely scrap it seems a mighty shame but that’s possible to.

  10. Someone, somewhere must have sat through countless meetings begging Sony to listen to them. There’s no way no one tried to prevent this massive loss of money.
My only conclusion was the game was too far along & too much money had been put into it before anyone at Sony realised how big a flop this would be.
We could all see it a mile off.

8 years for what… like 12 days? WOW! Wildest crash and burn ever.

  12. Wow, that’s nuclear level bad. I’ve seen games get shut down like a year after launch, but hardly a couple weeks? That’s gotta be a new record, even that literal scam game The Day Before had its servers up for a month at least (though to be fair it sold more too).

  13. DGenerAsianX

Why’s that poster look like a Guardians of the Galaxy game that temu makes.

  14. EquivalentSurround87

Well deserved….let this be a wake up call.

  15. Cleaving

    RIP.

(Nobody asked for this game. That limited edition Concord controller was a better product than the actual product!)

  16. scoobidoo112

A game that nobody was asking for, designed and marketed towards people that don’t actually play games, released in an overcrowded market with better, free alternatives… who could have seen this coming?

  17. Electronic_Sympathy

Just give me my Bloodborne remastered sony

  18. ViperKira

The 8 people playing the game will be so pissed

  19. WarmasterCain55

Only reason they’re giving refunds is because the game is too new not to and they’re avoiding chargebacks/lawsuits claiming fraud.

  20. FoundPizzaMind

They’ll probably rework it as f2p and it’ll likely be a ps+ game sometime between Dec-Feb IMO.

  21. soggycannoli

    Pronouns officially changed to was/were.

  22. Traditional-Lie-8841

I bet Babylon’s Fall is feeling pretty good about itself right now.

  23. theonewithcats

r/concordgame reacted by locking all coments and locking new posts behind mods’ approval

  24. Minimum-Truth-6554

What the fk did they expect to happen? These devs are really out of touch.

  25. noodle-face

In times like this I always wonder… There has to be one dude out there where this was totally his game. He’s playing for 11 days and then SON OF A BITCH

  26. TheloniousPhunk

Can somebody give me an OutOfTheLoop explanation as to what happened with this game? From cradle to grave? Because I don’t think I’ve ever heard of it outside Reddit these last few days/weeks.

Maybe I’m in the vast minority, but I have zero interest in multiplayer-only online games. I want a great single-player game that I can pick up and put down on my own time, and I do not want the quality of my experience to be dependent on my internet speed or whatever randos I get paired up with.

  28. I feel horrible for the dev team, really poor management

There are more comments on this post than there were ever players of Concord on Steam
