Yes it’s normal with them, it makes you feel better about being ripped off by overclockers.
Born_Faithlessness_3
Just be sure it’s not the sugar-free ones.

Pretty common in PC hardware space.
Nemesis034
Idk about Overclockers but I’ve gotten candy with larger pc component orders on several occasions from local retailers (Sweden).
I know Prusa sends a bag of Haribo with their 3d printers that’s even listed in the parts list in the assembly manual with a disclaimer that the assembly process might take some time and that they recomend to take a snack pause to keep ones energy up during assembly lol.
So it’s not too uncommon. It’s a nice touch imo.
Killavillain
3. shops that I have bpught PC parts, all 3. have candy in their boxes.
Seems common I say.

You got the good German ones. Be Happy. Enjoy your free Gummy Bears and stop complaining.
Tyr_Kukulkan
With certain products, yes. Overclockers are not the only ones though.
grahamcrawley
Overclocker’s have been throwing in random Haribo for over 10 years. In fact they once accidentally through in a Stanley knife too once with a case I bought, so I suppose it’s hit and miss lol

HeyanKun

Progresschmogress

StoicRetention
I bought a 4070S from them and got no Haribos, I see this is where they draw the line for us pours
Nerderous1990
No they think you’re cute
lewddogs
Would be funny if it was sugar free gummy bears in disguise.
BrandHeck
Okay I just have to know, how much and in what currency did you pay for this? And how much is that over MSRP?
SomeGuyInAVan
I even get them occasionally with car parts I order. Not specific to PC overclockers or PC parts in general. Just a small treat as a thank you for your order.
KeksimusMaximusLegio
Free haribo is free haribo
THiedldleoR
I’d love that, they taste a million times better than the small powder packs they usually throw into my packages.
Modmelon_YT
I got a small bag of haribos when ordering my wii u, so… Maybe? Is Wii U overclocking hip now?

I got some tic-tacs with a product I bought recently.
xdthepotato

In recent years this has become default in Turkiye when you’re online shopping, you get some small gift, often Haribo, sometimes tiny Turkish coffee packs, if possible a small sample of another product of theirs etc. Not gonna lie it makes me happy.
MRxSLEEP
Some places like to ship a bit of candy. I bought some bulk candy and they included a few loose but wrapped mints. I placed another order, for some of those very mints and they included a few loose mints again, same kind 😂. I’ve seen similar with other, non candy, businesses. A cheap effective way to remember them I guess.
Legitimate_Pea_143
nice. I have the same gpu but a lowly 4070ti, not the ti super. It really makes me want the ProArt mobo and case but those are expensive as hell. I love the minimalist looks of the gpu and best of all NO RGB. I did replace the thermal paste with ptm7950 about a week after buy the gpu.
Jasz_
Yes they mostly always do!
Lucario576
Here in Mexico they send you Pulparindos lol (a candy that is half hot, half sweet)
FreakyOne87
I got them all the time when I was ordering from frozencpu lol.
Significant_Tip2031
Send the GPU back get a refund and order another 1. Repeat and you get free haribo for life
_Meek79_
Not computer related, but Sweetwater does this with every guitar purchase. Except they send you a bag. I got something else recently that they did the same thing so it seems to be a thing many companies do now. At least its good gummy bears and not some cheap brand no one has ever heard of

I’ve gotten Dried meat from an order of 2x used RX580s in the past along with a note that did read, something along the lines of: ”Armar el PC te va a dar hambre” (Building the PC will make you hungry).
With my used A88X board from a chinese vendor I got a free Crab-favored Ramen bowl alongside the board.
Then with large orders of books I usually get tea bags or even Gift Tea Boxes (like the Twinnings Boxes that have mixed teas or tea flavours).
And with some of my Manga orders I have got Ramune, and some boxes of Pocky sticks.
A lot of vendors do this, mostly if you are a returning customer in my experience.
Lillyy25
They do! I ordered a cpu cooler from them during covid and they sent a free bag of haribos.
EitchAreEl
Swedish Inet has been shipping every product no matter how small with a long candy bar of typical Swedish taste for years.
ChipOld734
Hey! Mine came with the 4070 installed! Someone ate my Haribos!
MixSaffron
All the electronics I order come with little white bags of clear crunchies that don’t really have much going for them besides the crunch.
You sir hit the jackpot!

Sometimes distributors are nice and give candy. Everyone loves candy.

Back in late 2000 I ordered used 8800 ultra from ebay UK. The seller was Chinese and my card came in a shoe box filled with chinese newspapers and small fruit flavored candy wrapped individually. There must’ve been at least a kg of this stuff lol. I was munching on them for a good month while rocking games on the pc.
I think it was written in the box that it’s just candy and was some sort of way to avoid paying for electronics tax, don’t quote me on this though as it might be completely not true.
Flaky-Jim
Absolutely! Had a few of these in my dealings with them over the years. It’s a nice touch… unless maybe if you’re diabetic.
